Luxorreb 09-28-2009, 12:13 AM Thumbs Up- Santana Moss, London Fletcher, Dale's Pale Ale, Dickel Barrel Select
Thumbs Down- Tomkat, O line, Blache, Secondary, D line, losing to a team that only had just over 40,000 fans present and Fox game coverage.
Perhaps the Redskins will be Parcells next job...
Trample the Elderly 09-28-2009, 12:18 AM What did the Lion's five fingers say to the Redskin's face?

PennSkinsFan 09-28-2009, 10:05 AM This is my thumbs down for the season as a whole so far. Fix these two areas and we can get back on track. Whether they are capable of doing it is yet to be seen.
Thumbs down: Redskins defense. Right now they can't get off the field and are getting scorched on 3rd downs. In 2 of the 3 games this year the Skins have been completely owned in the time of possession battle and the D is definitely a contributing factor to that.
Thumbs down: Redskins running game. They haven't been able to establish any consistency in the running game so far in 3 games. They're a passing team right now but it's an efficient low risk passing game, not the kind of explosive passing attack that can carry the entire offense. This offense still needs an effective running game. If they're going to get this thing turned around, they need to get the running game cranked up. Simple as that.
I wonder how much of the running game problem goes to what Rodney Harrison said yesterday. Harrison said talking to players and coaches, he found teams have no respect at all for Jason Campbell as a starter, they do not fear him, and they pull defenses up to stop Portis and force campbell to beat them, which he cant do.
The bad deal is, if JC is nothing more than a league backup and we have a sub-average offensive line, those two combined would create offensive disaster, which is what we are facing.

Agreed, noone fears the arm of JC so defenses stack the line and take their chances. So far the odds are in their favor.

I just don't see JC as the problem right now. When you look around the league there are plenty of QBs that don't necessarily scare people, but they are still winning games.

Exactly, why can't people admit that we have a problem with our running game? Shit, when you have over 300 yds in your passing game and just a few yards in the running game, guess what's going to happen and guess what the issue is?? The f'ing running game!! This wasn't the Steelers or the Giants we were playing, this was the Lions that we couldn't run through.
Darrell_Green_28 09-28-2009, 10:19 AM yeah, like Mark Sanchez, Jay Cutler and now Matt Stafford.

Funny but JC is putting up better numbers than all of them

Is the problem more that JC is over-coached?
CRedskinsRule 09-28-2009, 10:54 AM Really the funny thing is this is the Campbell everyone wants to see. Taking chances, gunning it in to a covered guy, the pass to Rock in the Endzone was excellent, and in command of the huddle. compare the last two drives, one, JC was in charge, and you could tell it, he moved down the field and had a good redzone performance. The other drive, it looked like JZ was calling plays, there was more hesitation and no good way in to the endzone.
