Every year for the last 6 years there has always been a big story in the offseason and every year we fall on our asses . The only year we have exceeded expectations was the year many were writting us off with Brad Johnson at Qb where we went to the playoffs.
This year there just simply cannot be a big coaching change i don't think Gibbs or Snyder can allow that to happen.
We have no sal cap so no big spending year and many of the big time players are here already QB Brunell, RB Portis LB corps etc etc are set.
We have so few draft pics i see us making such little noise in there.
So what is going to be the big story ?

Too early to tell what the big story will be.
However, there will be some kind of splashy move made in early March 2005 that will cause folks here to declare that the Lombardi Trophy should just be Fed-Exed to Fed-Ex Field and there is no reason to play out next year. On the basis of whatever move is made, 75% of the folks here will be certain that the Skins will go 14-2 (or better) next year...

i have a bad hunch i know what it will be. G.Williams getting out of dodge to run a team like Marvin Lewis before him. ugh, sixth coordinator for LaVar...cant we catch a break???

oh and Fred Smoot may try and pull a Champ (w/o being Champ of course) if this season keeps going this bad (AND Williams leaves)....:(

I dont think Williams will get offered a head coaching position yet, not after the debacle Buffalo was. I think and pray he will remain loyal to the team, and stay here. As for Smoot, he has been much more of a " redskin " than Champ ever was. I think he will stay as long as we offer him a reasonable contract.

hopefully it'll be very quiet except for some upgrade (not a roster overhaul)... our D could use a bit of an upgrade at SS or DE and possibly some depth, but its pretty well off right now... on offense i thought we had the pieces, and we might, but its not together... the oline has been much weaker than i ever thought it'd be, and our passing game has been fairly rotten for large portions of games... either sending 2 WRs out isn't enough or they're not getting open or brunell is stinking up (or all three)... i'm a bit mad though, hopefully they can work through things... the post game gave me the feeling that the locker room might be getting a little frayed...
