Why don't our smart coaching staff please give Anthony Alridge a chance to get into the offense. He would be good to get in space on screens and passes out of the back field. Damn we need him to strech the field.

and when Campbell is run out of town he will do the same thing. Mark my words. As unrealistic as some of you might think that is.

I'm pretty confident in this as well. The only catch is going to be, will he go to a team where he gets to play right away and has some continuity with the offense.

There have only been a few QB's who have left town for sunnier shores who I really despised (Shuler and Schroeder, off the top of my head). Some, like Ramsey, I was fairly indifferent about.

I'll be rooting for Soup pretty much wherever he goes, just like I did Stan the Man when he led the Bolts to the Super Bowl. It's probably going to be best to have a backup team to root for next season anyway (another 1994 parallel!)

Something tells me he is going to end up in Denver Tampa Bay Jacksonville or Carolina. On the rate he is going now he is goign to throw over 4,000 yards. But hey he the worse QB we ever had so lets ship him out of town (end sarcasm). Just better hope whomever we pick up doesn't flop. or it will be the same thing over again. Let's go back to some of our past QBs then put thing in perspective. Would you like to have Tony Banks, Jeff George, Danny Weurfel, Mark Brunell, Ramsey, Shane Mathews, Shuler, Frerotte, etc. Should I keep going?????

I'll honestly be happy for him when he leaves.

He was made active this game. I dont know why he didn't play. Guess they dont have any confidence in him either.

Hey Zorn went for it on 4th down and the O-Line got stuffed. I can't blame Zorn for having confidence to go for it. Our O-Line is soft as marshmellows. The penalty call pushed the Lions to 3rd and 23 we let Mathew Stafford run 23 yards for the 1st down. Thats just fukd up defense. Zorn is responsible for the team but his coaches better get the fire lit under our players asses or everyone will be looking for a new job.

It was a run. A run in which the used the goal line offense bunching everyone up. Portis got stuffed. Does this team not take notes from other teams and what they do? Dallas had success spreading out their offense against the Giants. Spread the damn defense out and either play action pass or run the ball but stop the bunch formation. It's not working.

In the first quarter, most coaches go by percentages, not prophecy.

I thought he raises some great points, as usual.

Agreed...that's what kills me (and I'll say it again)...the Lions will go back to their losing ways. I wish they could win so i could feel better about this loss, but they won't.

Well if it makes you feel any better, Detroit is not the worst team in the NFL this year. Thanks to the magic of NFL shortcuts I have been able to watch them play this year (and was, of course, subjected to the game yesterday). Peterson broke them off last week, but they looked competitive against Minnesota and much better than Washington did against St. Louis. Once Stafford gains consistency they will be a competitive franchise on a week-to-week basis. Maybe not this year, but they are headed in the right direction. Right now St. Louis, Kansas City, Tampa Bay, Cleveland, and Washington are all worse than Detroit. Luckily we play two of those teams head-up so it will be a fair competition for that first overall pick.

No kidding. I'd like to punch the next person who talks about how much "talent" the Redskins have.

I'm not hugh on JC but he has been looking better other then scoring. He could end up being one of our bright spots this year. We then offer him a big deal then he goes back into suck mode.

There is no way the FO makes JC a big offer this season unless he puts up gaudy numbers by the end of the season (and that would probably mean we're getting blown out, based on the conservatism of Zorn's playcalling).

No, Jason is auditioning for a job elsewhere at this point. Resigning JC would provide one less patsy for Snyder to heap blame on and would make it harder to deny that the lack of a real GM is a huge part of the problem. Let the QB go along with the coach(es) and you've got a nice cadre of fall guys to act as meat shields from all the offseason criticism.
