D. Hall was just on ESPN's First Take

- We made too many mistakes. Defensively, couldn't get off the field on 3rd down

- Won't take anything away from the Rams, they played hard

- I definitely felt the fans frustration. Any time you get a win in this league you take it. I can feel their frustration though. We should have put the game out of reach

- Still think we've got some of the best fans in the world. We need to give them something to cheer about

- One mistake could have cost us the game. When I slipped and fell, that one mistake could have cost us the game

- Henson is just a young guy, doesn't know what he's talking about (re: the fans). Chalk it up to immaturity

- Liked the decision to go for it on 4th and 1 at the 2. Not getting in the end zone is inexcusable (I think that's what he said)

- Lions are a dangerous team. We're a 1-1 team going to play an 0-2 team. We can't worry about last year. Last year doesn't matter

- Hosting a charity benefit tonight in DC for the Reading Connection

I don't see one thing wrong with what he said. In fact, I think he said it very well.

I understand Zorn is supposed to be a head coach but I found it interesting listening to Arrington going off on how Zorn could not take constructive criticism from Sam Huff and even went so far as to say Zorn does not have a clue, especially when a Hall of Fame QB, which Zorn is not, stated he called the wrong play at the goal line and Sam would have changed the play call to one with a better percentage and Zorn said he would have benched him the rest of the game.

So basically JC does not have room to wiggle when calling plays.

I think it was Sonny.

Yes. Sam Huff was asleep through it all.

Well maybe we ought to turn the offense over to Sonny and the "D" to Sam. We can call it "Grumpy Old Men 3" and laugh at the ensuing hijinks from 2 old farts who haven't played in over 30 years.

Dude what the hell are you talking about? Are you even reading the same article?

I don't know what is it in here that you are referring to as making excuses for his play and complaining.

He is making excuses cause he trying to say the offense sucks. He/I have to be perfect cause if we give up one score we may lose. No one plays perfect so why say that? Don't make excuses for the offense to justify your poor play. Just say I got beat and I gotta do better next time w/out mentioning the offense.

I listened to the interview on ESPN and in no way did he blast the offense. He blasted himself when he said he fell in the endzone when they scored the TD. I thought he was classy and said all the right things. He didn't blame the fans, said he understood where we were coming from being pissed that they were one big play away from winning the game, or hell even a field goal away from winning. I hope that this doesn't get blown up to the be he blasted the offense and Jim Zorn, in no way was he negative about the offense on Zorn.

all zorn says is that the plays werent executed properly!!!!!!!!! I MEAN HELLO!!!!!!!!!! im sure if every play was executed to perfection it would work because when they drew it up it was intended to work
True; you have to coach your players with what they can execute well and I haven't seen that in several years. If it's always an execution issue why do we keep so many of the same players?

Zorn went for it on 4th down, got them close and the offense couldn't punch it in. That's taking risks. We were 0-5 in the redzone. Zorn can take some of the blame not all the blame.

Completely agree. However, despite how much Zorn wants to be able to smash mouth in the red zone, I don't think we have the personnel to do it.

It wouldn't matter if he did. Everybody saw the game. Hell, find someone who's not blasting Zorn. I'm one of the most loyal Redskins fans and I don't approve of the Week 2product. We do have the personnel to light up the scoreboard in the RZ. We have everything, Pro Bowl TE, FB and RB, three WR's over 6'2" and a 6'5" QB. I think the Redskins will put up 35 vs the Lions.
