T.O.Killa 09-22-2009, 02:09 PM Look more closely. AH brings the heavy heat every time. He sucks up Olinemen like a dustbuster. Griff is benefiting from not seeing double-teams for the first time in years.
I watched the game again and realized that AH was getting the double team so that Griffin could draw single teams. I guess i was just looking at no sacks, but you are right he had a good game.
tryfuhl 09-22-2009, 06:33 PM Oddly enough we are 6.5 point favorites right now. I am sad to say it but based on how I feel right now i am kind of tempted.....
I never bet on the Skins but I've been thinking about putting 20 on it.. The Lions aren't looking hot but the Rams D isn't any better than the Lions' and the Lions' O is looking better than St. Louis'
Something tells me we'll come out more intense this game, but who knows
tryfuhl 09-22-2009, 06:49 PM I bet half the posters on this board go out and buy gallons of water and boxes of batteries everytime the weatherman says there's a tropical storm in the Atlantic.
It's cool the other half stay behind when there's a Katrina saying there's no way it will be bad
I don't see why people can come on here every week and act like things are just fine and will turn around every week when that clearly isn't happening.. and hasn't since many of us can remember.. we hear "it's only one game" or "well if this hadn't have happened" .. etc ... single games can matter, things DO happen
we plain don't look good and anyone who can be confident about this team lives in a land of gummy bears (minus whatever colors that they don't like), the brady bunch, and random naked supermodels
tryfuhl 09-22-2009, 06:50 PM Offense will definitely get off the schnide this sunday and in a big way. I see a large win. Detroit hasn't seen a defense like ours yet and I feel we may see a couple of defensive scores this week.
carlos' last pick 6 was against DET right?
anyways I'll be at the game and it's going to suck hardcore if it's not a convincing win.. I'll take a win of any type, but yeah
tryfuhl 09-22-2009, 06:54 PM It's time for the offense to win a game. But if the 'Skins lose to the Lions, Zorn should be fired, and I've been backing him ever since he was hired. I just can't take anymore poorly planned offensive schemes, but it's more than Zorn, it's Campbell, too. He refuses to get rid of the ball by making quick decisions. Watching some of these other QBs really opens your eyes to Campbell's problems.
Yeah; seeing rookies, backups, etc making quick multiple reads and not just going oh god number 1 isn't there where's Cooley or my RB is kinda :(
Seems like everyone else can get instant replay worthy plays, jump balls (for a short guy moss isn't bad at these), really clutch passes, etc.. where the QB will put the ball into the right spot for the WR to make a play downfield... the ones that go right over the defender and fall to the WR.. I haven't seen much from Campbell suggesting that he can drop that ball in there like that.. he needs the guy 5 yards open like college if the WR isn't on the inside

I would be ok in that world.
and anyone who is a downer about this team lives in a world of vegetables(only the ones they don't like), reality shows, and random naked fat guys

Well there ya go, fire zorn now, and campbell, and tell ESPN they better have cameras rolling (smoot i'm talking to you) and be showing us on sportscenter every hour!

Doesn't our lack of ability to make those types of plays bother you?
htownskinfan 09-22-2009, 07:01 PM The exact same reason I didnt get sunday ticket this year.
Its too expensive to pay to be letdown every week.
One can always hope that next year it'll change, but as far as i can tell, this head coaching thing just isnt cut out for zorn, he needs to go back to giving qbs tips and stay completely away from any decision making or clock management. Until he gets canned, it pains me to say this, but get ready for a big season stocked full of mediocrity from talented players.
I was thinking the same thing after sunday.I just signed up for the ticket this yr after not getting it the past 2 yrs. Then Sunday Im thinking why am I putting myself thru this? ive got a headache and im pissed and my heart is beating fast, this is getting bad for my health, lol

I would love to see them, I think Kelly has a lot of potential.
But, let me ask you, did you see the London Fletcher hit on Jacobs? Did that get played on Sportscenter. Nope. What about AH pushing 2 players back every play. Nope. Or Rodgers batting away passes to prevent big plays. Nope. did I get excited by those. Heck yeah.
I want to see consistent steady improvement and solid football games. And I see that. I know the kool aid is great blah blah blah.
Last year, all year we could not consistently move the football. This year we have had 10 out of 15 drives against the NYG and Rams that started in our territory and went 30+ yds, 5 of those 15 ended in points, 2 ended in punts, 2 ended in turnovers and 1 ended on downs in scoring position. So yes we are moving the ball better, more consistently. We are sustaining drives.
I believe the points will come. And I believe we have seen better football on both lines, (which is what everyone griped about over the offseason) and even when a backup stepped in(montgomery) our team kept moving.
I want a winning spirit. And mistake free football. And more points. I don't really care about the highlight reels (unless it's Campbell lifting a Lombardi with Zorn)
