But it's more about the progression and Campbell than what I do/do not know about what coverage the Rams where in.
Let me ask this back at you: are you suggesting that Campbell was going to pull off of said receiver regardless of whether or not he was open? Because, if so, that would be a much more significant development than what actually occurred.

Everyone wants to b and moan, fine go ahead. But we got a W, 15 other teams, including Dallas and Philly didn't. And we beat a team we lost to last year. I'm not happy, but I'm not crying at my desk either. We put up 364 yds, we moved up and down the field. We stopped them, causing a turnover on a critical drive.
The RedZone is the Redzone because its hard, and that was my point. but please go ahead and piss the win away. atleast at the end of the year we won't be looking back and saying we shoulda won against the Rams.

Zerohero 09-21-2009, 06:04 PM Did JC even get sacked once today? I thought the O line gave him plenty of time to throw, although I watched most of the game in fast forward mode, since I was out during the first quarter.
It's easier to prop JC up by saying other teams olines are so much better by saying "oh insert JC here and he is next Brady".

Slingin Sammy 33 09-21-2009, 10:50 PM Anyway, here's a hint. On consecutive plays, the Redskins threw quick passes designed to go to their young receivers. Standard "50 game" passes, a WCO staple. On the first play, the receiver badly rounded off his route, and Campbell gave up on him about 3 seconds into the play, came over the middle and hit Sellers for 12 yards and a first down. On the very next play, the Redskins changed their receiver personnel and ran an incredibly similar passing play and this time Campbell stayed with his No. 1 target drilling him in tight coverage.It appeared to me that the two plays in question were 3 step drops. On the first play it looks like DT was running a 5yd Dig. Looked like he squared it off nicely. JC made the read at the end of his drop (under 2 sec) and went to Sellers. I think why he checked off was he may have pre-read Man and the Rams dropped to Zone. I think he could've hit DT, but he may have been concerned about the S making a break on the ball.
On the second play Kelly comes under a clearout route by by ARE, Rams look like a Cover 3 Zone here and Kelly is wide open (throw was behind tho).
