That last drive for the field goal was fine until we started trying to run it -- Mason had 2 carries for 5 yards, then we get down to the 10 yard line and Portis gets downed for a 2 yard loss.

Even though they're moving the ball, the Offense doesn't look fluid at all. Looks like sandlot to me. They can't get yards in chunks and are as bad as anyone in the red zone. We may be fooling ourselves by thinking this team can beat anyone. Every game is going to be a struggle, and that may be too generous.

I think the offense looks fine, just soem idiots dropping balls or fumbling. You can't play down Campbell's and Cooley's performance today. These mistakes will cause any offense lose a game against anyone.

I still think we'll win this game, but my uneasy feeling at the start of the game has not been settled. I was hoping it wouldn't be such a close game, and it shouldn't be. But it is, so let's see what the Skins can do in the 2nd half

I'd love to see a fade on 1st and goal. Maybe Zorn doesn't have confidence in JC to call this play?

This team talks the talk but...

Maybe we don't have fades. I don't even think we have a hail mary in the playbook. I think all we have are hooks, slants and dump off passes.

Unfortunately, this is a complete continuation of poor play from last year. UNPROFESSIONAL.
If these guys cannot do it, I hope our coaching staff will be evaluating for the shake up that MUST come. If this continues to be the norm this season, I would much rather be in rebuilding the O mode than year after year 'Terminal Patient"............mode

R. Thomas Out with Triceps Injury

Redskins right guard Randy Thomas injured his right triceps and is out for the remainder of the game. He will be replaced by Will Montgomery, a third-year player from Virginia Tech.

Thomas had neck surgery in the offseason, and his health was one of the reasons the Redskins felt good about their first-team offensive line going into the season. Montgomery is in his first season with the Redskins.

Thanks. Must have missed that -- but definitely not good news. Looks like we're on borrowed time with Randy Thomas.

definitely. still playing down to our competition. i see a bad season ahead us, maybe a detroit like season.

Every friggin drive is a struggle of epic proportions. This team has ZERO big play ability. If you always need 15 plus plays to score, something bad is bound to happen sooner or later. Rams are going to come out fired up.

Jason has tons of time and still we're not doing anything.

Who knows why we're so conservative on offense. Our Oline is actually givinb us time but I guess we're not getting open. This is certainly a strange game. As long as we keep it within a TD even a team like the Rams can win the game.

I want you to be the one to pull the plug on the Skins. :D

The defense needs to make a stop here.
