Well, both Prisco and Judge feel Gibbs hasn't "lost it." A quite resonable assessment from the media--at least they're not all piling on. Yet.

Those guys in the discussion boards are brutal though. Calling JG a poor sport and a whiner.
Most knowledgeable fans/media know that Gibbs didn't get to the HOF on accident.
And I think most agree that he will be successful in his 2nd run... but it's going to take time, more time than the casual fan has patience or understanding for. And those 'casual' fans are the ones blowing up sports talk radio and internet message boards with the idiotic comments and takes that the game has passed Gibbs by.
I say let them take their shots now while they can, once Gibbs shakes off the rust and the players buy in and start executing, we'll be the ones laughing.
You know, we all blasted Lenny P. when he had the exact same take very early on in the offseason, but I guess it's turning out that me may be more correct than we want to admit. Gibbs is struggling in his transition back and he's not having immediate success.
If I remember correctly Dick Vermeil had back to back losing seasons to start off his 2nd stint in the league and many people wanted to run him out of town, things turned out alright for him and the same will happen for Gibbs.
