skins89moss 09-15-2009, 05:56 AM Say what you want about jake, but he was seconds away from a SB title.
Yes he has stunk it up in his last 2 games but the guy has been where we havent in a long time and with a team that was only like a decade old in the league at the time.
Im not saying i want him here, but 2 games doesnt take away from what he has done.IMO
Go to the Panthers fan blog and see what that got to say about Delhomme. They don't give a rats ass about he almost won a Super Bowl. Its what have you done for me lately. Lately he has 9 ints in the last 2 games. So JC is playing much better than Jake Del Homie.
skins89moss 09-15-2009, 05:57 AM take zorn and campbell and throw them away. the worst play calling in the league and the worst qb in the dam game.
Great assement bro. This guy is a great football mind. LOL Joke
Beemnseven 09-15-2009, 07:33 AM dudes, JC will never get it done this year...anybody else check when he checked to that stupid ass draw play on 3rd and 8? what a moron. great QB's make changes at the line on the fly, JC has never checked into the right play...ever. even Eli Manning with a mediocre corps of WR's can check in and out and make them look phenominal!
i think most everyone can agree that JC doesn't have that "it" factor that a McNabb or a Manning (eli or peyton) have.
let's face it, most players nowaday are dying to play in Washington...but it's only cause we pay our players out the butt, not b/c they want to play to win the game. Until we get a coach that can instill some discipline into these animals we will always be a laughing stock.
but i'll still watch and cheer and be frustrated. watch, we'll win the next few games and people will get high on us, but once we play somebody with a "will" to win, we get left in the dust.
I Think i am most sick of seeing our guys inability to get off the field on 3rd and long situations. it's almost like I expect the other team to gain twenty yards on a 3rd and long just because our defense gives up.
Yes, the draw play check down bombed. Not sure what he saw there, or maybe the Giants just made the play.
I think the real problem was that Moss, Kelly, and Thomas were blanketed and couldn't get open. The only thing the Giants gave us was the underneath stuff to ARE and Cooley. So if Campbell tries to thread the needle, and throw it to Moss, Kelly, and Thomas whether their covered or not and gets picked off, then what are we saying?

Yeah, I said that in preseason - that good defensive teams are going to give us this look most of the game. Short to Mid passes are going to be there. They are gameplanning to take away everything else. In order for the redskins to win against a team like the giants, campbell needs to work on his accuracy for the short to mid-range passes.
GTripp0012 09-15-2009, 01:26 PM Well, it wasn't markedly different from Campbell's average game last year, but the numbers are in (http://www.footballoutsiders.com/quick-reads/2009/week-1-quick-reads), and 18 teams would have been better off with our passing performance, even given the turnovers.
That's a lot of teams that have to find a new quarterback and head coach this week. Starting with the Panthers, who you know, gave $20 million dollars to a quarterback-who-isnt-as-good-as-Campbell this offseason.

I really dont think his mid-range passes are an issue as far as a accuracy. Jason can fire it on a string. I think it takes more effort by the WR's and JC needs to get better on pocket presence. If WRs have excellent route running and use your speed. Then there should be greater separation. Which makes it easier for the QB. I think JC has been schooled to be too careful. We try to use the Trent Dilfer Bmore Superbowl strategy. To do that you need Bmore's defense. Which is something we don't have. We have to get over it when JC makes a mistake. QBs throw interceptions (see Jay Cutler & Delhomme). But let JC make one mistake and people are saying off with his head. I think its hard for any QB to suceed on our team with such a ready to attack fan base. He never had the chance to throw caution out the window and make mistakes and learn from them. That's why his progression has been so slow. He hasn't had room to make mistakes at all. But when he goes like x amount of games without throwing a interception last year. He gets no credit. Its hard for any QB to make it here. Because of our inconsistencies with coaching staffs and also the pressure here is probably greater than it is in most places. Saying that JC has kept everything internal. But have some faith in the guy. He isn't as bad as most people think. The arguement that he holds on to the ball more than 3 seconds is laughable. You can only make a pass in three seconds if you have WRs that are executing. I challenge you to find a QB that gets rid of the ball that fast. Not many do. I can say Peyton, Brees & Brady get the ball of that quick. Warner also (probably had the quickest release when he was with the Rams). But these are top tier QBs but even they hold on to the ball at times, when no one is open -- But usually that is not an issue because Peyton has Reggie Wayne, Brady has Moss, Warner had his weapons in Arizona and STL. It's more about executiuon as a whole. JC is not the only one to blame. He is only part of the problem.
The problem is WRs aren't getting open so he has to wait. But I rather he take off and get some yards. I htink he is much better in the shotgun, no huddle and when he uses his legs to avoid pressure then takes off. His decision making needs to be quicker as far as that is concerned. But not as much as his release. I thin that is more a side effect of receivers not creating separation and D-lineman breathing down his neck. He needs to show and prove from this point on. If he doesn't get it done this season we will need another QB.

JC is not the worst QB in the league by far.
