The defense allowed one touchdown and two field goals. The offense, kept them on the field the entire first half
No no no no no no no no.
Our offense did no such thing. we didn't have like 6 three and outs. Our D couldn't get themselves off the field and constantly killed our field position. The lack of offensive production at no point can alleviate the fact that our D played for crap today.

Thanks for starting this thread. Hall is the biggest con-man in the NFL he has duped not 1 not 2 but 3 NFL teams into lots of cash. I will give him credit for that and the Redskins FO should have know better not to sign him. They should have kept Springs and gotten another free agent or 2. Case closed, this guy SUCKS!! Never liked him never will.

to me, today's loss was all about play calling. did we throw on first down at all?
I couldn't agree more. This was probably the toughest game that we'll see all season. Blache coached scared he's afraid of giving up the big play, that's why we see all the soft coverages...and Zorn is not sure if he has a run first team or a pass first team...he's just not confident....

It is not just Hall, although he was not good. The entire secondary should be called out. Often we had people in the right spots but the tackling was terrible. I hope they spend every minute this week in tackling drills.

They also specifically avoided Rogers after the first play and managed not to get hurt at all.

If they keep playing Landry 40 yards behind the line of scrimmage I am going to freak out!
Amen, one of my biggest gripes with the Grilliams/Blache regime. You draft safeties in the top 10 and then play them 20 yards from the ball. Idiocy.
As for Hall, he did what he excels at, playing off of the man, reacting to the ball in zone/combo coverage, well. That's what allows him to be in position to make plays on the ball like he did today. He struggles in press man, back to the QB stuff, as he did in Oakland. He completely whiffed on the Smith jam in the 4th quarter which is why he got beat. His attempt at a tackle on the Manningham TD was only slightly less pathetic than Smoot's attempt. I'm nowhere close to writing Hall off, he's going to give up plays, but he's going to make them too.

Let's see Hall in action:
Burned a few times in critical plays, could not tackle Manningham, when he intercepted the ball instead of getting out of bounds he tried to hotdog his way to the endzone risking a fumble (luckily he got pushed out of bounds), personal foul on ST play. This guy is going to kill us like he has other teams. Landry also committed a personal foul going after Jacobs, I'm sick of all this "me" first players.

My main beef with Hall is that he suffers from Deion Sanders syndrome, that is he will not throw his body into a tackle. He's not physical. His coverage is also suspect, but the main problem is his tackling which has the air of "Olay!" about it. To wit: the Manningham TD.

^^If Smoot could tackle, Manningham would not even have had a first down, much less a touchdown.
