can WE now start a countdown to a new coach and qbSOUL-SKINS 09-13-2009, 08:58 PM Again, im content with the lose. RELAX GusFrerotte 09-13-2009, 08:59 PM It's wasted play %. When our backs aren't against the wall, we piss away first and second downs as if the drives won't ever end. Then with little time remaining, we go into the only thing we're good at. Ok, but why do we go into Superman mode only when the game is on the line? Why the mediocrity during the 80% of the time the offense is on the field? I guess I am questioning the coaching. One thing is for sure, I don't think we can run Portis into the ground this season MTK 09-13-2009, 08:59 PM People are wasting time talking about JC, the real concern is that the OL is still not able to handle a top flight D. GusFrerotte 09-13-2009, 09:00 PM Just in case you missed my last post. Same Crap different year. Well for week 1 you are right on! Redskin Warrior 09-13-2009, 09:00 PM I think we are to quick to put the blame on 1 or 2 individuals when there were boneheaded plays by numerous players. It's easy to put the blame on JC he's on the hot seat so is Zorn. But if we can't handle the ball off to Portis because Tuck is in the backfield, before JC hands it off to him then blame that on the o-line for not picking up the blitz. If we are allowing WR's 7 to10 yards to kill us on curls & hitch routes all game then blame on the defensive coordinator. Poor tackling blame on the defensive coordinator also. Personal fouls on 3rd down blame that on the players. Everything is not one persons fault!!! wilsowilso 09-13-2009, 09:00 PM People are wasting time talking about JC, the real concern is that the OL is still not able to handle a top flight D. I gotta disagree. They gave JC really good protection at times today and I think our running backs had an awful game. firstdown 09-13-2009, 09:00 PM People are wasting time talking about JC, the real concern is that the OL is still not able to handle a top flight D. And people are waisting their time talking about JC because he can run into sacks all day long. GTripp0012 09-13-2009, 09:02 PM Ok, but why do we go into Superman mode only when the game is on the line? Why the mediocrity during the 80% of the time the offense is on the field? I guess I am questioning the coaching. One thing is for sure, I don't think we can run Portis into the ground this seasonIn this game, the playcalling was horrendous. If we kick the field goal instead of faking it, it's a 13 point game in which the quarterback, who yeah, you might have argued that he cost you two drives, threw the ball great all day. Zorn is usually not this horrendous of a playcaller, but taking the ball out of the QBs hand on the goal line every time you get there is getting tiresome really fast. GusFrerotte 09-13-2009, 09:03 PM Offensive line has been a concern for us since Norv. We got Samuels and Thomas, but those have been the only really big moves we have made to boost it for awhile. We really needed an offensive linemen as our #1 pick. Orakpo will be a good one, but he isn't going to win us games. Twilbert07 09-13-2009, 09:03 PM It is sad that Zorn did not have the team ready to play. The Redskins were out of it. Moss and Landry were zombie-like. Zorn should have benched Moss when he started that stupid fight. As for Jason Campbell, he was OK. But, his fumble and INT might have been the difference because they led directly to 7 Giant points and kept us from scoring any on that drive. |
