T.O.Killa 09-13-2009, 09:04 PM Was Horton benched? horse 09-13-2009, 09:08 PM I'm very disappointed but most of the problems came from an amazing D-line the giants have it was in there place and a couple plays go different and we coulda squeked it out. The effort on the 30 yard Td was just pathetic I mean tackle somebody, they try to take the easy way out and push out of bounds. 14 points that should'nt have happened if you include the fumble. I like what we're seeing from Fat Al we just gotta have better offense. 70Chip 09-13-2009, 09:09 PM I have to come back to the El reverse called on the second offensive play. Why? And no effort to get Kelly or Thomas in the game except that reverse which they ran against the Giants last year. Then, he went into his play calling shell. He needs to mix the two minute plays with the beginning of the game plays because its not working. FRPLG 09-13-2009, 09:17 PM Ughh... The offense was ok at times. JC played well on about 70% of the plays. On the other 40% he looked tight to me. There were spots where you could see a decent offense. Our defense concerns me way more. True they tightened up a good deal in the redzone but we got schooled. Our line got basically no pressure from the front four alone. Wasn't ALbert brought here to create that? What the hell happened to anyone else being able to handle their blocker one-on-one? More concerning though was what looked to be an inability to adequately cover their shit WRs. I know Manning had a little more time than we'd like but plain and simple they had guys wide open a lot. Whether that is play or scheme I couldn't tell but I am betting it is a little of both. Our defense didn't look out of sync. It looked downright ordinary. That is bad news. kjahorski 09-13-2009, 09:25 PM I have to come back to the El reverse called on the second offensive play. Why? I totally agree...Portis just opened with a huge run...and then they resort to some sort of trick play? on the SECOND O PLAY of the game? what is up with that? terrible call....run it again, keep it simple....we should have got 3 points out of that drive at least.... I don't think your math adds up. 2.) I thought our dline did alright considering the Giants have one of the best offensive lines in the league. GMScud 09-13-2009, 09:31 PM Ughh... I agree about the defense needing more pressure on the QB, but Haynesworth got some really good push several times, including the 4th and 1 stop on Jacobs down by the goal line. Without him they score a TD on that drive. Keep in mind the Giants have arguably the best O-line in the game. I know you have to beat the best to be the best, but still. Lets see how the D-line/pass rush looks the next 5 weeks when we play lesser teams than the Giants. skinsfan_nn 09-13-2009, 09:34 PM I agree about the defense needing more pressure on the QB, but Haynesworth got some really good push several times, including the 4th and 1 stop on Jacobs down by the goal line. I'm sure #30 loved that smack down! Highlight material! GMScud 09-13-2009, 09:36 PM Big Al did a good job. Speaking of the D....How about FLETCH blowing Jacobs UP! I'm sure #30 loved that smack down! Highlight material! I just saw on Comcast that Fletcher had 18 tackles?? Is that a typo? What a stud that guy is. 44Deezel 09-13-2009, 09:36 PM We didn't stick around? We made a slight comeback with less than 2 minutes left? That was like a desperation TD. The NFC East is always tough conference. The only way you set the marker as a good team is when you're able to beat other elite teams (or at least give them a run for their money). At no point in time were the Giants worried --Oh they might come back-- The fact that we STILL can't keep up with these good teams is a glaring fact that we are still doing something terribly wrong. The pass to Cooley was a garbage time TD. |
