Yeah why not.
But you know with our luck he'll break a big return, pull his hammy, get tackled at the one yard line, and fumble. That would just be so typical.
That's a good possibility.

I'm all for it. I say let's put him back there for the majority of punt returns. He's the most dangerous PR on our team and one of the best in the league if given the opportunity. The object is to win the game, so let's throw it all out there. Our offense was one of the worst in the NFL last year. What do we have to lose?
Thoughts?
I personally feel that these chairs should be facing east. When these deck chairs face west it is hard for people to have room to sit in them. I also think we should take the...BLUB-BLUBB-BLUB-BLUBB-BLUBB!!! (The Sound of Drowning in the Atlantic, April 1912)

The ability to catch the ball should be an afterthought for any starting NFL punt returner. I refuse to give him props for that.
I don't think there is any team in the NFL with a true #1 receiver returning punts full time. There's a reason for that. I mean, I guess Hester is the Bears #1 wideout, but he hasn't come close to establishing himself as a receiver in this league.
Santana is explosive back there for sure, but the cost to our receiving game is too high a price to pay. His hammy gets hurt enough as it is without him trying to play full time special teams.
I wonder how Mason would do returning punts. He's got some burst.
Catching the ball is the first vital step in the exchange process and should not be taken for granted. Too often failing to secure the ball first has led to big plays for the opposition

I'm bringing this thread back to life since we are desperate to score points. Anyone changed their minds? ARE needs to be out and SM needs to get the PR's that have a change of being returned. We need some points.

Or having it hit a blocker's foot
