Maybe it has already been said, but Zorn said that he picked Woodson over Daneil, not the other way around.
Not what I heard out of Zorns mouth today.
If he did he did by default. Daniel was gone so he wasn't getting him anyway. As I heard Zorn mention today, he wanted Daniel all along on the squad. It's just the way the cards feel.
The ONLY reason Andre is here is because Chase was picked up.

Actually, Zorn's interview sounded like he did choose Woodson. Here is the link and quote:
Zorn on radio - Redskins 360 - Washington Times (http://www.washingtontimes.com/weblogs/redskins/2009/sep/08/zorn-on-radio/)
*On choosing Andre Woodson over Chase Daniel: "I did tell Chase Daniel I was going to sign him as our practice squad guy but I also told him this: My next sentence was that I wanted to reserve the right to look at the list and see who else is out there. I didn't know Andre Woodson was going to be exposed. We had a chance to get him and try to work with him so we chose it."

Has any else heard that the Jets traded for O'connely just because they wanted intell?
I thought it was to package him and the LB the Broncos wanted in an attempt to get Marshall in a trade. But that seems logical also.

Well the whole Chase Daniel thing is kindof irrelevant now. he is gone so i have to believe Zorn saw something that made him want to go in another direction.

Woodson has the same size as our other 2 QB's maybe thats an advantage to have in Zorn's offense. I just hope we go into Giants stadium and "Punch them in the mouth and kickem in the ASS". Sick of the Giants talk winning the NFC East.

Exactly. He said he had no way of knowing Woodson would be released and when he was, we took him.

As others have said, this is totally off. They chose Woodson over Daniel, that was straight from Zorn himself.

Its not totally off. Listen to the Vinny AND Zorn presser, Read, and understand the message between the lines. And maybe you shall understand..?
If Chase would have been available, which HE WASN'T they would have signed him to the PS. Anyway moot point, moving on.
Daniel Signed to Saints' Practice Squad
Quarterback Chase Daniel will not be returning to the Redskins after all; instead he has been signed to the New Orleans Saints' practice squad, according to multiple reports.
At a news conference Saturday to announce the opening 53-man roster, Vinny Cerrato, Washington's executive vice president of football operations, said the team hoped to sign Daniel to the practice squad if he cleared waivers.
But Daniel considered his options and chose not to rejoin the Redskins. I've heard there may have been some confusing signals regarding players coming from Redskins Park since Friday night. To be honest, I'm really not sure what to make of this Daniel thing because several people told me Coach Jim Zorn likes the kid, thinks he has some talent and definitely wanted him back. That's not going to happen.
