Woodson was once considered a high pick but his stock dipped quick, but regardless the kid has potential could win a spot next year.

Woodson had a QB rating of 38; Chase had a QB rating of 115.

Who CARES how you play - all that matters is to be the right height!

BTW - in the latest WaPo article BOTH Zorn AND Cerrato said they wanted to keep Daniels. Confusion????????????

woodson will definitely be mined for his Giants playbook knowledge.

Tell me why we let Dixon go to the Eagles and kept Wynn?

Both Colt [49 QB rating] and Woodson [38 rating] should be a major competition next PS against the old guy with a walker.....

WTF. So why did we bother signing Daniel then if they regarded him as too short? This is beginning to bug me. It is like these bastards still don't have a solid rebuilding plan in place and doing shit by the seat of their pants. Daniel did more damage at Mizzou than this kid did at Kentucky.

They just needed a body for the scout team. This kid will do that well enough.

Bro I totally agree you, Daniel looked just as good as he did at Mizzou, but signing Woodson to the PS aint that bad. Edwin Williams should be on the PS. Wynn, and Bastiste should be cut, and Westbrook sure as hell doesn't deserve to dress every sunday, and personally I would have cut Montgomery and replaced him w/ Dixon . Those 3 spots should belong to Daniel, Bridges, and Dixon.

The #3 QB is the possible future. Especially important if the #2 QB is really old. Also necessary if the #1 QB is on shaky ground.

Tell me one backup QB we played that did as well as Chase. If JC does poorly [hope he doesn't] this first half of the season, do you continue to lose and play him anyway? Or do you start to rebuild with a new guy for the next season? Who's that going to be?

BL - Zorn is putting all his eggs in Campbells basket. No need to worry about any project players if this is your last year as the coach. Unless Zorn wins 9 games or more he'll be gone, as well as all the other coaches.

You not hearing of a player does not mean he was not at one point highly touted or a scrub.

Though, now that he's a second year player on a practice squad, it's not like draft hype means much.

No shit Capt. Obvious. I don't really give two shits what you were in HS and college, right now that means nothing. And draft hype, I happen to follow the draft pretty closely and there is probably a pretty good reason I've never heard anything about him....6th round/198th overall, enough said.

Now that it clearly appears ...well, he's a scrub OR he wouldn't have just got cut from the giants again AND we pick him up for our PS. And from ALL accounts if the SKINS would have gotten the deal done with Chase, I still wouldn't have a damn clue who this scrub is, just another warm camp body, nothing more.

Perhaps you forgot him?

I think Chase might be better, but I thought at the time (2008 draft) the Redskins would have been better off with Woodson than Colt Brennan. Anyway, Chase (as somewhat of an unknown quantity) is on an active roster right now, and Woodson is not (though Chase is behind Mark Brunell in NO).

The fact is if Zorn and Campbell don't have what it takes this year (I think they do) then they will be gone, we will be getting a new coach who will bring in his own qb. He wouldn't live with Zorn's 3rd string as his starter. So in this case the 3rd string concern only matters IF JC/JZ succeed. Overall, its such a non-issue during the season, when was the last time we called on the 3rd string qb for more then 1 game? Can you tell me? I can't, but I am sure it hasn't been in the last 5 years. Go figure.

We are doomed. Stupid FO, Stupid Zorn. STUPID.
