Merriman is a monster
Wouldve loved it if Skins drafted him or Ware over Rogers
And passed on Jason Campbell for Roddy White and drafted Derek Anderson in a later round
alas hindsight is 20/20
merriman needs to get out of that party town thats is san diego.
He is maybe 6'1...
Also, he doesn't party much in SD. He spends most of his free time in Los Angeles.

He choked her alright, with his "Soul Pole". The Dr. should do a throat X-ray.
I could swear that I was on the Warpath. Did I wander into a Penthouse forum by mistake? :)

Why are you trying to compare Chris Brown, Kobe and OJ to Shawn Merriman's incident? Every situation has its on factors and we should not lump him in with those other High Profile Stars. When your in the Media Spot Light no matter how big or small the incident is, its going to be News Worthy. Merriman had other witnesses at his residence who also witnessed the incident . This case isn't going any where, and the victim was highly intoxicated according to SD Sheriff spokesperson.
Maybe you should judge every case on a case by case bases. You sound like a Hater who hates to see people get paid more than you make.
Im simply stating that MANY times society in general ignores the fact that someone is guilty, or might be, just because he can dunk a basketball, or sacks the quarterback for your favorite team. I feel like in alot of these situations people are walking around with blinders on. Race doesnt matter, there are ignorant people of every color.
Also.....Tila Tequila is a stupid slut, and most likely made all this crap up.

And if somewhat we could have end up with Drew Brees when he left SD, it would have been great.

^^ if my memory serves correct i thought we were def going cb that year and we had pacman jones ahead of carlos. so....yeah.
belicheck even said if hes such a genuis for picking brady he wouldnt have waited until the 6th round. not sure what this is worth or even relevant.
the idea of merriman joining the skins has passed my mind. heard espn speculate it wouldnt even take a 1st rounder at this point but in no way do i think we make a trade at this stage, especialy with merriman having some many question marks that need to be answered this year.
go skins!!

thats where I disagree with the draft for need over the best talent available (to an extent) theory. Obviously it depends...but in this case we missed out.
drafting for talent always puts you in position to stockpile and later trade for needs if so inclined, but at least it gives you both options
I've heard that from Bellicheck also, but why would he draft him much higher when he didn't really have to, I doubt he was projected much higher on anyone elses boards, coming out of Michigan
I'm just more thinking out loud...after I saw it mentioned that someone would rather have Rogers over Shawne, or something to that effect

I think that Rogers is quite talented. He strikes me as both a need pick and a talent pick. Many folks had him very high on their draft boards.

Agreed and we could have been stuck with another top CB in that draft.......Pac-man Jones, lol.
