I'm glad you have no "special" hate for Colt Brennan.

You do have a tremendous hostility, however, shown by your senseless insults directed at me.

For anyone else reading this, I'll let Coach Zorn do the talking for me, because I think he has the best perspective about Colt Brennan.

I don't have hostilty towards you (or Colt). True, the drug testing remark was insulting and for it I apologize. My responses are more the result of shocked amazement about the your claims of Colt's seemingly mythical abilities - comparing him to a first ballot HOF'er when he hasn't played a regular season down. Really, I got no hate for you, just the stunned amazement of an onlooker saying - "Did he really just say that???"

My criticism of your remarks, however, is not 'senseless". You make broad claims for Colt's physical abilities that are simply unsupported. You claim that his "leadership" qualities seem to outweigh his physical limitations by some almost magical quality. It's just not there. Before he can lead, he's got to show he can play and he simply hasn't done that at this level. He may eventually someday, but all he has shown so far is limited potential to be a quality back up.

Again, for me to take your faith in Colt seriously, I really would like to know the basis for your claim that he has "remarkable physical ability".

A "reliable source" told me he can juggle 3 pineapples at the same time. :) I actually think CB can be a good QB but it's all up to how he progresses. Time will tell. Ryan Leaf had a chance to be a good QB too.

Obviously, the injury was not the cause of Brennan's poor decision-making for most of the preseason. But the Redskins knew Brennan was not operating at full strength physically. When Brennan was sacked late in the fourth quarter Thursday night in Jacksonville, he aggravated his hamstring and hip injuries in addition to tearing his hamstring. He is expected to have further tests on his hip soon.

Well, that makes a difference. Take average physical abilities and then complicate them by an injury, and that certainly would affect his performance. Agreed, it does not completely absolve him of his incredible mental errors and, in fact, shows his continued inability to play within himself (if you know you are not 100%, then you gotta play accordingly). At the same time, he may have been pressing a little once it became clear he wasn't guarranteed a spot. We'll see.

For now, however, it's all moot. He ain't gonna be playing in 2009. The hero worship will just have to wait until 2010.

I agree. He just isn't now and doesn't look like he will be either this year (obviously) or next.

Colt's the Future. He just needs to get healthy, study the playbook more and learn from Jim Zorn. That is unless we have a new coach next year who will want his own qb.

Really? I was kinda hoping Jason Campbell was the future.

Chase Daniel said in a Twitter post he was told by the front office he'll get a spot on the practice squad if he clears waivers.

We'll obviously KNOW soon enough... but I doubt that the Skins are cutting ties with him completely.

Ah the Culters sure are dreamers aren't they.

Well save that dream for another day, cause it's not coming true this year.

Despite his hip injury, today Colt Brennan walked on water after curing lepers with just his smile.

Doesn't matter. Somebody is bound to pick him up. I think they are going for one of the whiz kids next season for sure now!!!!
