kearse, rice, peppers all seemed fine the first year... but it is a bigger risk than other positions... and there are a lot of flops too.

MTK 10-05-2004, 10:20 PM Anyone know how O-gun is doing in Chicago this year? Just curious. SmootSmack 10-05-2004, 10:26 PM Ogunleye: 14 tackles (11 solo) 1 sack Wynn: 10 tackles (9 solo) 2.5 sacks Warner: 7 tackles (4 solo) 1.5 sacks illdefined 10-05-2004, 10:47 PM Anyone know how O-gun is doing in Chicago this year? Just curious. i was gonna ask the same thing. too early yet for me to eat crow on Ogun, but a young free agent DE seems 100x safer bet than a draftee. i suppose we should look at one who doesnt have a Jason Taylor on the other side... Gmanc711 10-05-2004, 11:17 PM Now that Head Coach Jimoh is at the healm - the Skins will get back on track!! Seriously, everyone needs to chill the F&*^ out... I'll tell you what, there's so much room on the bandwagon with everyone jumping off after 4 stinking games I'm going to buy up all the empty seats. And then I'm going to charge everyone twice as much if they want to get back on when the Skins are headed to the playoffs. If you look at what went wrong the past few games - turnovers, clock management, turnovers, penalties, etc... these are all things that can be righted very easily. These are fluke occurances - the Skins are still a great team this year. Turnovers will not keep happening at this rate every game - they just can't. I'll bet my Ade Jimoh rookie card on that!! Keep hope alive!!! Jimoh is on the way.... This guy is officially the best thing to ever happen to the warpath. Daseal 10-05-2004, 11:18 PM Comparing Ogun to Wynn isn't exactly fair. He got shipped off just moments before the season started and Ogun also has like 2-3 forced fumbles (have him on one of my individiual D teams for fantasy) Sheriff Gonna Getcha 10-05-2004, 11:18 PM Wynn has looked surprisingly good this year. On pace for 10 sacks! I'm sure he won't hit double digits, but 5 sacks out of Wynn would be incredible considering who he is supported by on the Dline. Sheriff Gonna Getcha 10-05-2004, 11:19 PM D-ends can make an impact fairly quickly....Kenechi Udeze is going to be a stud by next season. aehs77 10-05-2004, 11:24 PM i think wynn might be able to hit double digits this year if the defence stays aggressive and teams have to start game planning to stop the blitzes SkinsRock 10-06-2004, 02:41 PM i think wynn might be able to hit double digits this year if the defence stays aggressive and teams have to start game planning to stop the blitzes Yep. That's what I had said at the beginning of the year....that the D-linemen will look better because of teams having to account for LA and our other LB's and DB's blitzing. Plus, I remember reading that this is the first year since he's been here that Wynn has been 100% healthy to start the season. Kind of ironic how everyone was worrying about the D-line before the season, but they have been solid at the least, and the O-line seems to be the weak spot....at least for now (I firmly believe that Buges will get them in order).... |
