One of the funniest Vick jokes I've heard as of late is that, based on his preseason (and career numbers for that matter), if Vick was held to the same standard as his dogs he would have been shot, electrocuted, and drowned by now.

Not to highjack this but I always wondered why Vick never became a real good passer. He's got that great release, kind of like a quick flick of the wrist and the ball gets there in a hurry. Always throws a spiral... like Warren Moon did. Maybe it was his work ethic.I guess the technical answer would be lazy footwoork, but the technical answer is usually just a product (a manifestation) of a bigger problem (like effort, or simply lacking any semblence of the skill).

Dont know what youve got, till its gone. When [Jason Campbell] leaves [Washington] you can stick a fork in em. [Pineapple Je5us] is all [moxy],never has he been a great passer. [Davone Bess] was considered a [non-prospect] until he got a REAL QB to get him the ball. Now he is one of the best in his div.Nice mad-lib!

For the record, I completely agree with your actual post, the one that I disrespectfully tore up.

He looks old now!

wow he looks totally different now. i wonder if he's still a dickhead. jay had all the talent to be a superstar. but he was one example of a guy who was mentally weak and was one of the biggest babies i've ever seen. i'll never forget during the 87 season when gibbs benched him and he sat on the bench with his arms folded w/ the jacket on. it looked like he was going to cry before gibbs came over to him and gave him some words of encouragement.

I think he'll mind his Ps and Qs pretty well. He is looking to cash in so he has to be good both playing and behavior wise. The problem that exists is that Philly fans make Redskins fans look reasoned and focused. The implosion that is coming is going to be from the OTHER QB. If McNabb thought it was bad after they drafted Kolb and everyone decided his days were numbered, just wait. Now they have a potentially dynamic offensive weapon who has happened to win games playing the QB position before. That plus neurotic fans, and a thin-skinned attitude could b pretty caustic. Of course they could simply play well and everything would be fine but one hint of underachieving and the whole deal could get pretty ugly.

Actually, Philadelphia fans make a lynch mob, group of crackheads, street rioters or a class of crying kindergarteners look reasoned and focused.

There is no way they are swapping QB's during the season. You people get too caught up in preseason. they were giving Vick some time with the starters, to get in the flow, play at real speed. He may play some in the wildcat, but McNabb is the QB of the Eagles. I dont see Vick doing anything but watching this season. Next season may be a different story.

McNabb and Reid do have a love fest that I don't see climaxing anytime in the immediate future. What you see there is a normal reaction when things go bad for the QB on the field, fans start calling for the next guy.
