Collins locks up the #2 job, Colt and Chase fighting for the #3

I think it's way to soon to make a decision. What if Chase throws an INT the next time he plays and generally looks like a rookie, and Colt drives the team down the field and throws for 2 TD's? Good luck to both but there are still 2 more preseason games to rise or fall.

But the one thing to take away from all of this? “Colt” and “Chase” as first names sound kinda gay.

Colt should be sued for trademark infringement. He's a glorified Chinese counterfeit pistol. I've seen enough, cut him.

How bout Jim Kelly and Warren Moon? both played in the R&S before coming to the NFL. Both were very good if i remember correctly.My point was COLLEGE QB's that put up ridiculous numbers running a "Chuck & Duck" system should be looked upon with scrutiny. Warren Moon and Jim Kelly were GREAT college QBs running more traditional systems. They were going to succeed at the next level regardless of the system. It was Moon's misfortune that NFL GMs weren't colorblind after leading Washington to a Rose Bowl victory. He took a strange route to NFL stardom, starting his pro career in the CFL.

I can only think of a few C&D college QB's who've had success at the next level - Neil Lomax and Ty Detmer (marginal success) come to mind. I'm sure I've missed others, but for the record, I do like Tim Tebow a lot. He's definitely a high-character type that I always root for.

i am certainly not a cultist, but is it possible that chase is far enough along to overtake a qb that has had a full year in this system? i dont see it. part of me wants to keep them both (PJ5 and CD) and put collins out to pasture. it would certainly be feast or famine from there.

***K that. Collins has already proven his worth to the organization. It's time to kick JC to the curb - going on five years, and this first-rounder STILL can't find his fanny with both hands!
