It would be odd to dump everyone at QB but with a coaching change who knows. Let's just get through this season.
Collins locks up the #2 job, Colt and Chase fighting for the #3MTK 08-25-2009, 03:40 PM It would be odd to dump everyone at QB but with a coaching change who knows. Let's just get through this season. diehard 08-25-2009, 04:13 PM When I saw that last night, I almost threw up in my mouth. Collins can't throw more than 15 yds. Maybe 30 with a tail wind.He connects with those throws though. MTK 08-25-2009, 04:28 PM TC's arm is fine. How quickly we forget about what a true weak arm looks like. Matthews, Wuerffel, Brunell at the end. mredskins 08-25-2009, 04:47 PM ^ So do you want TC to be the starter? MTK 08-25-2009, 04:58 PM No, why? An avatar is sometimes just an avatar my friend. SouperMeister 08-25-2009, 05:22 PM I've always been a skeptic of any QB that put up ridiculous college numbers with the Run & Shoot, the Spread or any other quirky passing offense, all of which I will refer to as the Chuck & Duck. The number of QBs who flamed out after running a C&D system in college is a long one. Remember Timmy Chang, who preceded Colt at Hawaii? How about Andre Ware, David Klingler, Danny Weurffel, Kliff Kingsbury, Tim Couch, etc. Yes, Chase ran a Spread O at Mizzou, but he certainly looks a lot more disciplined, yet decisive than Colt IMO. And to those who were calling for Colt over Jason - that notion is downright laughable. mredskins 08-25-2009, 05:23 PM Ok just checking. BTW- I will be adding a Chipendale (sp) dancer avatar shortly and no I am not gay, it is just an avatar. =) roth74va 08-25-2009, 05:38 PM And to those who were calling for Colt over Jason - that notion is downright laughable. Wow....did someone really say that? Going to fan day last year, the difference in Soup and Colt was pretty crazy. JC's throws look like lasers, and Colt's look like lollipops, there really is no comparision IMO. If we are just comparing physically, its not even fair, Soup is a much more talented player. Now mentally we need them both to step up and start making some better reads with the ball. With our running game, and a stellar defense, the last thing we need is a gunslinger, at least Soup is taking care of the ball. Now if he can just start putting some numbers on the board, Ill be very happy. Im looking forward to Fridays game, hopefully the starters will play the entire first half. Both were very good if i remember correctly. 53Fan 08-25-2009, 05:41 PM I remember reading somewhere CB saying that you try to play like the coach wants you to but you're the one on the field and sometimes you have to do it your way. I remember reading it to my GF and saying that I didn't think Zorn would like this if he read it. I wish I could find it. |
