Let's face it, on a fair playing field, Marko Mitchell is the third receiver right now.
I don't know whether to be happy or sad about that. I'm eating my words that I said upon his pick though.

even if Mitchell makes it, as the #5 receiver he'd rarely be active on gameday.

Are you implying that it's a play call differentiation? I really haven't been able to watch it that closely. Just seems like our other QBs don't mind trying to let the receiver make the play.I think Zorn likes the run, run, bootleg on the goalline, but we don't have the personnel with the second team to run it. Yoder never gets off the damn line of scrimmage, and Cooley is always well covered.

With Sellers going backside to sell the run, the play never ever works.

This is just simplified goalline stuff, and any quarterback can execute it.

Well the throw didn't go to somewhere that the CB could've gotten it, so there's some credit to go that way, but Mitchell definitely made it happen.
