We need a "playmaker." Orakpo could be that guy.
Let's talk some Orakporedsk1 09-11-2009, 02:47 PM We need a "playmaker." Orakpo could be that guy. CultBrennan59 09-11-2009, 03:02 PM We need a "playmaker." Orakpo could be that guy. if blache uses him right and exploits orakpos strengths and hides his weaknesses..kinda like what lebeau does with james harrison of the steelers or polamalu..then ya orakpo can be that playmaker guy 53Fan 09-11-2009, 03:15 PM and another good one: Orakpo_Has_a_Need_For_Speed (http://www.redskins.com/gen/articles/Orakpo_Has_a_Need_For_Speed_50050.jsp) In one on ones he was at the QB before the coach finished blowing his whistle. Damn. You gotta love it!!! The Goat 09-11-2009, 10:49 PM If you don't want to be excited, or get that "h*** yeah" feeling in your gut then DON'T read this article: Redskins' Orakpo no regular rookie - Washington Times (http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/sep/11/redskins-orakpo-no-regular-rookie/) Warning: you may come away feeling like you want to see Orakpo kick a little ... Cool story within the story. Jeez it's impossible to not get stoked about the season reading stuff like that. ...I really, really hope that Blache has kept the schemes very vanilla for preseason, in fact i hope he's been holding everything back to a degree, and come sunday we see a firestorm against the G-men. Our defense has not been terribly impressive in preseason and it's got me a bit worried...i want to see us flip the switch on the opposing line! JLee9718 09-14-2009, 12:50 PM In yesterday's Redskins-Giants game, I didn't hear Orakpo's name called but just a couple of times. Did I miss something, or rather, didn the sports announcers miss something? mlmpetert 09-14-2009, 01:08 PM In yesterday's Redskins-Giants game, I didn't hear Orakpo's name called but just a couple of times. Did I miss something, or rather, didn the sports announcers miss something? I didnt notice him at all, except 1 play early in the game when he kinda "rushed" Manning. artmonkforhallofamein07 09-14-2009, 02:06 PM Not really. Rak wasn't that effective. He didn't make any real plas other than a QB presssure. Maybe he is better suited playing end than SLB. Njall 09-14-2009, 03:16 PM Orakpo Height: 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m) Weight: 260 lb (118 kg) a future OLB not DE ... Rumor has been he can not stop the RUN!!! Maybe he will be better in a 3-4 later in his carrear.... GTripp0012 09-14-2009, 03:33 PM Orakpo Height: 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m) Weight: 260 lb (118 kg) a future OLB not DE ... Rumor has been he can not stop the RUN!!! Maybe he will be better in a 3-4 later in his carrear....Someone who can't stop the run is better off as a 4-3 DE than a 4-3 OLB. 4-3 OLBs are chiefly responsible for the run. 4-3 DE's are far enough away from the play that you can compensate with a physical corner or safety.
