This will be an interesting case study: 3rd year this year for both Landry and Amobi Okoye. Both guys seem primed for a breakout year, and this is the year we could look back and decide whether we made the right call there.

So, did the Patriots gameplan for Orakpo? He was pretty quiet last night.
Maybe someone can correct me on this, but I hadn't noticed him lined up on the left side as much as he was last night. Usually he's been on the right side.
I was hoping to see way more pressure on Brady. NE did a great job of protecting him.

Generally speaking Tom Brady is just hard to sack. It's the protection on some plays and his quick release on others. It's just tough getting pressure on the dude. I wouldn't take last night's game as anything other than the Pats are probably one of the best when it comes to protecting the QB.

Exactly plus we are not always going to knock OF out some we will have to wear down, as you saw last nite.

Defensive end was always weak after Dexter left. Smith really didn't look that good and he was somebody else's reject. Orakpo and Jarmon were Redskins selections from the draft. We got Jarmom really cheap in the supplemental draft.

The Pats have a top tier offense and a QB that doesn't take sacks. I was hoping for more pressure, but I didn't really expect a jail break. With Moss on the field, you better not blitz your safety. Still, in one half of work, Haynesworth was able to get in there and knock Brady out of the game. I'll take that as a small victory! :)

Hey, how did Orakpo do last preseason game? Couldn't watch it & didn't hear much about him -- I'm not sure if that's good or bad. Guess he had 5 tackles..

Cincy did a better job of bringing pressure on the Pats then we did.

I like the fact that the Redskins drafted Rak and we didn't sign somebody else's throwaways. Same with Jarmon. If we don't have a winning season (some of the pundits are predicting 6-10), it won't be because of Orakpo and Jarmon.
