I still can't get over our offense. Why didn't we see any deep passes??? I watched a little bit of NE Phily cause my eyes were hurting watching Balt treat us like a JV team. And I see Philly and NE throwing deep passes right out of the gate. It just pisses me off that we don't even try.

If he can stay healthy all you kids are going to be happily jumping on the
GTripp/WilsoWilso Malcolm Kelly bandwagon.

Already there. :)

I don't think the scheme will stop Haynesworth from being effective. I think that statement is idiotic.

We shall see, we misused other high impact players in the past, including Arrington and Jason Taylor...for some reason it takes our D coaches a long time to put our impact players in a position to maximize their capabilities. Although Blache has said he'd let Haynesworth play more of an attacking freestyle style, I will wait until I see it since that has not been his coaching MO for d-linemen. If he doesn't use him correctly, he wont produce as well as he did in Tenn....even so, he is an upgrade, but the secondary is weaker in my opinion than last yr...and they are overconfident...I just don't buy the skins were a top 4 defense....statistically, maybe...but c'mon, how many non skins fans would put the redskins defense last year in their top 4?

I think the reason the skins were top 4 last year is becase their offense was so anemic that we kept giving the other team short fields to score....less possible yards=less yard gained against us...I'd be interested if anyone had info on average field position for opposing team...I'd guess the Skins gave up some pretty good field position.

yeah... Dixon will be practice squad probably... which sucks... who he have to beat out? Golston?

We have Griffin, Haynesworth, Montgomery, Golston at DT... as the 4 that stay?

I think they usually keep 9 or 10 defensive linemen for the final roster. In the past, Lorenzo Alexander has made it into the last couple of spots because he was able to play O-line a couple of years back.

If Dixon keeps this up for the next few weeks, they have to find a spot for him.

I know it is just 1 preseason game but Kelly was way better than Devon Thomas contrary to what we've been hearing....and what happened to Hackett?
He was invisable as well as anyone fighting for the #5 WR spot.

Kelly had 3 catches for 25 yards -- other than the grab over the middle, I'm not sure what was so impressive about him tonight.

Hackett didn't get much of a chance because the offense wasn't on the field a whole lot tonight.

Sorry, I can't oblige you. Go outside and breathe deep the collapsing liberalism.

Hey man, I disagree with you tonight but I honestly love your passion. All of us should be angry tonight, I am, but there were some positives and I honestly think this is rock bottom where last year we had some false hope because the pre-season started off like Christmas and progressively got worse.

He caught the freaking ball...I know the bar is low... but that is better than most for this first game

I'm sure this has been covered, but Justin Tryon can't.

Blache said he wanted to put the young guys "on an island" tonight and see how they handled it. Surprisingly he didn't seem to disappointed in Tryon. He said the guys should learn from this. From what I saw, Tryon has a LOT to learn.

Tryon got used. It was like the Ravens knew to pick on him too. Play after play they just made him look inferior. On the flip, Byron Westbrook played pretty well.
