Does anyone suspect that the offensive line problems weren't addressed just so Snyder could get rid of Zorn? Maybe I'm just paranoid.

No,it's because the O-line is the new face of the franchise.

Benjamin Franklin?

We all know it's CP. Just listen to the games. Can CP lead the team to victory, Clinton Portis and the Washington Redskins, etc, etc, etc . . . .

It's Portis and/or Cooley for now, but hopefully Campbell will asume the mantle. That said Sean Taylor is still my favorite player of the Skins post-Gibbs 1.0 era.

Maybe I'm just paranoid. That's an excellent conspiracy theory, but I think that the ONLY reason Snyderato didn't pick Oher at #13 was that they were shocked to have Orakpo fall in their laps. I can see Orakpo eventually becoming the face of the franchise if he puts together a few 10-15 sack seasons early in his career.

for a boring, and hopefully last, what if question. Suppose we had taken Oher, and let Orakpo slide. How many would be happy? I think I would have been happy, but having seen Orakpo at TC and listening to the spin, I am surely excited that we have Orakpo.

I'd say that's a pretty lame theory. They signed Dockery and Bridges, and brought in some decent looking undrafted FA's. It's not as if NOTHING was done for the OL this offseason, despite what people want to believe.

If Snyder really wanted him gone, he would just fire him.

Sean Taylor was and still is for me personally.

I think it is for a lot of people. I dont think a "face of the franchise" is really for the Redskins fans... its more for everyone else. I've had a lot of conversations with people about how big of a Redskins fan I am and a good handful (who really are barley even football fans) brought up Sean Taylor, so because of the attention that incidnet received, I think that could be a good case.

My opinion right now is Cooley, but I could see it being Haynesworth pretty quickly.

I say we make Doughty the face of the franchise. No one will care. Then we can continue to fly under the radar.
