TheMalcolmConnection 08-10-2009, 06:52 PM MVP: Tom Brady Offensive Player of the Year: Drew Brees Defensive Player of the Year: Brian Orakpo (I REALLY believe it) Offensive Rookie of the Year: Matt Stafford Defensive Rookie of the Year: Brian Orakpo Comeback Player of the Year: Tom Brady Coach of the Year: Jim Schwartz Sure, I typically really root for the worst teams to be good again, but I really like what the Lions have done this offseason. I think they at least upgraded the offensive line to serviceable and their defense will be MUCH improved. GTripp0012 08-10-2009, 07:15 PM Schwartz is coach of the year if the Lions win the NFC North. That could happen, acutally. I have them winning 5 games with a 1-5 record in the division, but if they win 4 or 5 games against NFC North opponents, all of a sudden that's 8-9 wins and in a division where there's no double digit win teams. Still, a 5-1 record in the NFC North would require them to be a much better team then I think anyone expects. TheMalcolmConnection 08-10-2009, 07:19 PM I think their defense keeps them in a lot of games this year. Take AP away from the Vikings and I think they take both games if Stafford and Pettigrew are worth half a damn. I think the Packers will be their toughest competition. Cutler won't make as big a difference as people think in Chicago. |
