Let's see if it can recover. 53Fan 08-09-2009, 11:36 AM I really thought Rayner was brought in just to give Suisham a little competition and maybe a little push. From what I've read, Rayner was kicking some long FG's before scrimmage and has a pretty good leg. Of course the key here is, "before scrimmage". We'll have to see how he looks during a game in the preseason. Could end up being a pretty good battle but if it's close, I think Suisham gets the job. The coaches seem to agree that part of his problem last year was changing holders so often. That will no longer be a problem with Hunter Smith holding.
