Gotta love this time of yr. I think the best time of yr is between Sept and April. Between April and Sept. has got to be the worst. No one can speak highly of a player they like, no one can speak negatively about a player they hate, no one can talk about players possibly getting unseated at their positions...with out getting bashed.

Reyner won't make the team. He's a camp scrubb. No other team would pick him up. All because Suish is the "Golden Boy."

Well, he is a scrub. Look at his dismal career stats or the fact he's with his 5th team in 5 years.

Not saying Suisham is anything special either, but to this point in their careers he's got the edge over Rayner.

I happen to think Rayner has a shot at unseating Suisham, but it's definitely a long-shot.

But as for your first paragraph, don't be an idiot. People here speak highly and lowly of players/coaches here all the time. Sometimes others agree, sometimes others don't. That's the whole point of a message board.

i agree, if rayner has a strong preseason and suisham struggles then rayner could take his spot. i think suisham always practiced well but struggled during the times it really counted.

Personally think they both should be renting apartments by the week in Ashburn. Hopefully we will pick up someone else after a few cuts..

Didn't I read that Rayner was 3 for 3 and all kicks were 50+ yds? wouldnt that be an improvement?

So did Durant Brooks.

I'm done with hype. It's high time for production. If he makes the team great but as far as I'm concerned he's a warm body to help Suisham with his competitive focus.

Been hearing that Suisham and Rayner have been missing quite a bit.

If that were true, yes, that would be an improvement. Swishy struggles from long range.

i cant believe , over the years, that the skins cant find an above average kicker. look at some of the scrubs they have trotted out over the last couple of seasons( Suisham included)Face, it, we haven't had a solid kicker since Chip Lohmiller, whom we drafted in the 2nd round about 20 years back. Even Lohmiller struggled early in his career, which comes to show what a crapshoot it is with these guys.

Norv Turner cut David Akers after one game in the midst of an 0-7 start in 1998, which may be one of the worst cuts made by the Redskins in the last 20 years.

I agree. Akers is still a fine kicker. He would have saved us from a bunch of headaches if we would have kept him.

Who would have known Akers would turn out to be the player he's become. He was pretty awful with us
