I am starting an anti PFT movement. Sadly, I am all alone, because people just won't stop posting is as a reference.
Oh, I never believe anything from them either, but this article/topic is so hilarious. If it IS true...craziness. I'm with you though...not saying I am believing it...just sharing it. I'd never use them for a source to support me in a debate or discussion.
If it's another typical, par-for-the-course tabloid bunch of crap, then it's just another normal PFT article.
Great topic for discussion either way, the rookie pay scales and contracting needs reformed desperately.

Dumb, dumb move on Crabtree's part. And another reason why there needs to be a clear cut rookie payscale in the NFL. This crap about he should have been drafted higher and therefore paid more is completely insane.Orakpo arguably should have been drafted higher, but you didn't hear his agent crying for Top-10 money. A system that rewards a top draft pick like Matthew Stafford a larger signing bonus than that given to a Super Bowl winning QB (Eli Manning) is a joke. The time has come for veterans to lean on the new NFLPA rep to lobby hard to limit rookie pay in the next CBA.

Somebody please clarify who this "Wells" character is? Parker is his agent right? What is Wells's authority on the situation?
Nevermind this wasn't visible the first time I looked at it.

I'm with you, too. I read PFT but never use it as a reference here.

Wells, supposedly, is Crabtree's cousin and "adviser"... meaning, the guy that Crabtree & his agent wanted to make the statement so they don't look as stupid... hahaha

It's because in between the crap/commentary they break actual news.

And people say football players are arrogant and dumb. Where does that come from?

They have rarely broke any actual news. They got lucky on this one.
Edit.
Remember this? I will never get burned again.

I know that it was not PFT, but this is a perfect example of why I do not believe anything until a combination of the following take place
1. it actually happens
2. reported by a reputable news source
3. is confirmed by those involved
In this example you only have 1 of 3 and that is only because ESPN put their neck on the line. It has not happened and the parties involved have denied it.
