FREE AGENCY: Momentum builds for Vick to Skins
Michael Vick | Falcons | Interested: Redskins? Patriots? Ravens? Raiders? Saints?
Jason Campbell can't catch a break. At nearly every step this offseason, the Redskins have been linked to another QB, and with comments made recently by Jim Zorn and some other 'Skins coaches, he may have Michael Vick breathing down his neck at some point this season.
An anonymous Redskins coach told Fox 31 in Denver that, "There is definitely a number of us who would love to have him play here. I can tell you I would not mind at all."

While a little bit dismissive, head coach Jim Zorn left the door open in saying before Washington's first training camp practice that they would not be signing Vick "at this juncture." The insinuation here is that the team will have Vick's cell number handy if Campbell struggles to start the 2009 campaign.

Meanwhile, Vick's contention that he was close to signing with a team has been refuted by what a source has told ESPN's John Clayton. Clayton notes that it's likely we won't see a Vick signing until training camps are "well under way".

6-7 games..when did they say Vick would be eligible to play after the 6 game or earlier..hmmmmm..I think there is something behind this. I am rooting for JC but I find this very interesting..

People must also keep in mind. People are going to try to keep it low key and I did read on Tanner Cooley's blog that Vick was in the area (Lansdowne) a couple days ago...Hmmmm..Something to ponder..

TannerCooley:Wondering why Michael Vick is in Lansdowne and even more, why was he at Buffalo Wing Factory in Ashburn earlier today??
Twitter / Tanner Cooley: Wondering why Michael Vick ... (http://twitter.com/tannercooley/status/2882128076)

Also keep in mind DeAngelo Hall is here and is a big Vick supporter and may have given his input and also that Vick is from VA...Hmmmm

It's doesn't matter. Vick is most definitely not coming here after Snyder said, in passing, that "he is not a fit here" on the John Thompson show. The Danny has spoken.

I think it would be season over to give JC 6-7 games if he is struggling to the point where you want to bench him and THEN bring in another QB who hasnt taken a single snap with the team. if you dont have faith in JC,TC or CB then go ahead now and get someone in here who can learn until/IF decision time comes.

I would only want Vick for punt returner/kick returner/HB/QB "gimic plays". I covet his explosivenss and elusiveness. I view him as an offensive weapon. Wouldn't be good idea if he is not in training camp as a QB. If we gonna have a season like that I would rather see Colt.

Agreed, just because some random assistant in the coaching staff likes Vick, it doesn't mean he's coming here. I'm sure the many Campbell haters would love for anyone (even someone that hasn't played a snap in two years) to play at QB (like that moron with the "DC wants Vick" sign at training camp).

Two things tell me that Vick is unlikely, first if there was a remote possibility of this happening, Mike Florio would have been on this like flies to shit. Second, I think the only person that can get away with signing Vick is Darth Hoody.
