Did anyone hear the Samuels interview? The only reason we have to think this is an issue at all is if we trust that someone screen named crackerman22 accurately heard the interview. Samuels could be misquoted here.

You mean Samuals, who was interviewed only because Carlos Rodgers was busy helping Chad Rhinedhart change a flat tire on Jason Cambell's truck :)

You're thinking too much. Stop worrying. Why would we get Vick in the middle of the season and expect him to take us to the playoffs when he has to learn a WHOLE new offense and get refamiliar with the game of football? Snyder's not even that dumb.

Not thinking too much. Not worrying. Who said he was going to take us to the playoffs? he may need to learn an offense..he might be rusty but I don't think he needs to learn how to play football again. As for the last sentence. He has gotten smarter over the past few years....But I can think more than a few times he made dumb moves. But usually they were for players who were past their prime by a long shot. IE Bruce Smith, Deion Sanders..He has made better moves but I wont call any of them beneficial @ this point..

Define beneficial

Do you want the literal definition or are you asking me to state what benefits we have received from some of Dan's signings since he's been here. (being an ass vs legitimate debate)..Which one?

As for signings that have worked in our favor or have giving us some sort of advantage. There haven't been many. But there have been some improvements despite some enormous busts..Do you want me to define enormous?

Well you mentioned that usually he makes moves for players past their prime. Which was true 10 years ago, and true with Archuleta (and not Jason Taylor, because JT had just come off a 12 sack season I believe); but for the most part we have not gone after "past their prime" players. You also mentioned he's made better moves but wouldn't call any of them beneficial. To which I would ask, how do you define beneficial? Did we benefit from having Shawn Springs, Todd Collins, Cornelius Griffin, Marcus Washington, Clinton Portis, Santana Moss when we made the playoffs?

Are you a Daniel Snyder apologist? I actually like Dan for this reason. He might not have made all the right moves in the past. But atleast he put his money where his mouth was and spent bucks trying. Eventhough he was learning on the go. But I will agree with u in that some of those players helped us out. But alot of them were old or injury prone. We make splashes in free agency. But rarely get someone who can help us for the long run. CP trade was definitely a good move. Moss good move. Todd Collins good move to compliment Saunders system. The rest are iffy. I do agree he is is getting better. Definitely. Drafting and signing free agents. But it took him a long time to concentrate on the D-line.

Not an apologist. I think though that too many people think Dan Snyder and instantly they think Deion Sander and overpriced, past their prime players. And clearly his regime as owner should not be focused only on that move.

True. I agree. Like I said I rather have an owner who isn't afraid to spend his money and learn from his mistakes than a owner that sits back and does nothing. He was young and has grown and him and Cerrrato have matured a lot as far as personnel decisons go. I've always personally liked Dan (because I know he would do anything to make us winners). Just not all of his decisions he's made in "the past".

I have to wonder why Samuels just came out and said this. Usually guys are like this is our QB and we are going to ride him to the wheels fall off, pass or fail. not i think we give him X amount of games and if he is struggling we move on.
