Agreed, just because some random assistant in the coaching staff likes Vick, it doesn't mean he's coming here. I'm sure the many Campbell haters would love for anyone (even someone that hasn't played a snap in two years) to play at QB (like that moron with the "DC wants Vick" sign at training camp).

Two things tell me that Vick is unlikely, first if there was a remote possibility of this happening, Mike Florio would have been on this like flies to shit. Second, I think the only person that can get away with signing Vick is Darth Hoody.

Sure, thats a reputable source! I am suprised that he hasn't started that rumor anyway.

6-7 games..when did they say Vick would be eligible to play after the 6 game or earlier..hmmmmm..I think there is something behind this. I am rooting for JC but I find this very interesting..

People must also keep in mind. People are going to try to keep it low key and I did read on Tanner Cooley's blog that Vick was in the area (Lansdowne) a couple days ago...Hmmmm..Something to ponder..

TannerCooley:Wondering why Michael Vick is in Lansdowne and even more, why was he at Buffalo Wing Factory in Ashburn earlier today??
Twitter / Tanner Cooley: Wondering why Michael Vick ... (http://twitter.com/tannercooley/status/2882128076)

Also keep in mind DeAngelo Hall is here and is a big Vick supporter and may have given his input and also that Vick is from VA...Hmmmm

You're thinking too much. Stop worrying. Why would we get Vick in the middle of the season and expect him to take us to the playoffs when he has to learn a WHOLE new offense and get refamiliar with the game of football? Snyder's not even that dumb.

Well I didn't mention him as a reputable source, it is just that since he hates the Redskins,he takes any bad half-truth rumor about the team and blasts it all over his website.

I am not advocating getting him. I just wanted to point out that Vick ran the WCO in ATL. The only major differences would be in the running game.

And who the hell is "Josina Anderson of Fox 31 in Denver". And why would a low level "anonymous" Redskins coach be talking to him. This report stinks real bad and I can't believe anyone is giving it any credence.

But, Anderson does mention "a Redskins defensive starter" witnessed fans holding up Vick signs. Game over, Vick's as good as signed.

Here's the rest of the blog/article:
However when this same coach was asked about the likelihood of Vick appearing on a field he coaches on at Redskins Park, the source replied, “I tell you what, his name has not come up in any meeting I have been a part of yet.”

So, naturally the next question after that was, would Vick’s name come up in any meetings this source participates in?

“Yes and no. Information gets passed on and shared in our meetings. They can ask for our input as well.”

I also spoke with a Redskins defensive starter Thursday evening who said he had not personally heard any Vick news directly, or indirectly, from sources closer to Vick. However, he did witness some Washington fans making their own sentiments known at the facility earlier.

“I tell you what, they were holding up signs that had Michael Vick’s name on it at practice.”

FREE AGENCY: Momentum builds for Vick to Skins
Michael Vick | Falcons | Interested: Redskins? Patriots? Ravens? Raiders? Saints?
Jason Campbell can't catch a break. At nearly every step this offseason, the Redskins have been linked to another QB, and with comments made recently by Jim Zorn and some other 'Skins coaches, he may have Michael Vick breathing down his neck at some point this season.
An anonymous Redskins coach told Fox 31 in Denver that, "There is definitely a number of us who would love to have him play here. I can tell you I would not mind at all."

While a little bit dismissive, head coach Jim Zorn left the door open in saying before Washington's first training camp practice that they would not be signing Vick "at this juncture." The insinuation here is that the team will have Vick's cell number handy if Campbell struggles to start the 2009 campaign.

Meanwhile, Vick's contention that he was close to signing with a team has been refuted by what a source has told ESPN's John Clayton. Clayton notes that it's likely we won't see a Vick signing until training camps are "well under way".

Okay, so the "momentum" allegedly building is evidenced by a Redskin coach mentioning that several members of the coaching staff wouldn't mind having him on the team. What a stupidly misleading headline.

By the way, the headline has now been changed on the site to add Baltimore to the mix.

Josina started her career at the CBS affiliate in Coos Bay, Oregon as a sports anchor/reporter. From Oregon, she moved to Washington D.C. as a sports reporter covering the Washington Redskins, Washington Wizards, Georgetown Hoyas, and the Maryland Terrapins for several local cable shows including the Sideline Report, the Round Ball Report, and Redskins Magazine. Josina also hosted her own weekly radio sports segment on WKYS 93.9 called ScoopCenter.

Sounds like she may have made some contacts here during this stint. and maybe she wants back on a national scene.

This explains things a little bit, but isn't she the one that started the "Cutler's a drunk" fiasco and later had to retract/clarify her remarks.

I think you're right, someone's looking for some web hits and name recognition.

I think I remember her now. I think she may have gone by a different name here. But we could always ask Tony about her

Anyway, I think we're reading too much into things here
