Cowboys rookie right tackle Robert Brewster (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=12634), a third-round pick, will miss the '09 season with a torn pectoral muscle, according to Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News (http://cowboysblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2009/07/robert-brewster-to-miss-season.html). Brewster apparently suffered the injury during offseason workouts following the club's June minicamp.

Feel bad for the kid, but we're one step closer to 16 games of Flozell Adams and Marc Columbo.

Whooo!

That sucks for them. It's gotta hurt to tear your pec muscle. Ouch.

I don't think this guy was taking any snaps from those two...

We will have that chance, this guy wasn't going to see the field unless a starter went down.

he probably wasn't likely to crack the starting lineup, but both their OTs are old & due to break down or slow down any day now. Their o line situation kind of baffles me. They have a good starting unit, but like us they haven't addressed depth/youth in the draft much. Unlike us however, they have had a lot of picks the past few years.

Well of course they didn't draft in the 1st or 2nd rounds and now their 3rd from this year is out for the season. But they did have a lot of picks.

maybe their situation was similar to the skins last year, when Vinny said once the skins traded back they didn't like the OTs on the board, but if they'd stayed at 21 there were a couple guys they would've picked.

Just seems that for a few years the o line has been ignored by the pokes. Like us, they're banking on some vets to stay healthy, but even if they do, I've got to think that Adams & Columbo are due to slow down & have problems w/speed rushers. I'm hoping so!

I feel sorry for Brewster but I am happy that he will miss a season for development.
