The QB position is a lot more than just "athletics". And don't forget Vick was running a 4.25, possibly a 4.2, 40-time in his prime. His great speed was his only asset. Now his trainer states "he can naturally run a 4.4", but to my knowledge he hasn't run a timed 40 anywhere recently. Bottom line, Vick's last three years at the QB position he stunk. If you want to move him to WR or "slash" type, a 4.4 at a skill position in the NFL is good but not great, a lot of guys run 4.4s in the NFL. And who knows if Vick has any hands for the WR position, as I remember he fumbled more than average as a QB.

Vick is damaged goods and it's very doubful he'll have any real success upon his return.

He's had 2 yrs to simply run around a fenced in field. 2 yrs to weight lift and get stronger. If I'm not mistaken they even allow balls in jail so he probably found a way to throw a ball once and a while. Most likely all he has to work on is his accuracy.

Uh, I am guessing too, but I don't think a jailhouse yard is going to provide the same benefits as a NFL level training regimen. Could he do the basics, yes, but coming back to his former level, and getting better in the areas he lacked, is going to be extremely difficult.

A difference between Vick and Mike Williams, is we know Williams didn't have the desire, or play up to his potential. Now whether he can or not, TC/PreSeason will tell. But Vick has to change the way he played, and show abilities he didn't seem to possess, even when he was fullout balling.

But time will tell with both.

2006 - QB Rating = 75.7 Fumbles = 9

Not a stellar record in the playoffs 2-2 and pretty bad in the losses. The most recent playoff win was against the mighty 8-8 Rams.
