skinsfan_nn 07-24-2009, 12:39 AM Really? I don't get the 4 game suspension at all. Vick already lost his credibility and reputation, his fortune, and two years of freedom. He's missed 32 regular season games over that span as well. He committed some horrible crimes, and suffered some horrible consequences.
I think the 4 game suspension is stupid. What metric did Goodell use to determine 4 games was appropriate? Did he look at everything that's happened to Vick since his conviction and say, yeah, that's about right, but I think we should throw on 4 more weeks just because. Obviously, his jail sentence aside, a 4 week suspension is waaay to light for Vick's crimes. But he's been put through the wringer over the past 2 years. Why a 4 game suspension at this point? Makes no sense to me.
There has been no four game suspension handed out at this time, unless some new news has just unfolded. It's a possibility.
But, if he gets four games or even more that's up to the commish and whatever he feels is appropriate. Personally, I could care less how much suspension the clown gets. If he does get a suspension I have no problem at all with it. It's supposed to be a privilege to play in this league.
skinsfan_nn 07-24-2009, 12:43 AM Which one is it? Slim or none? :)
Anyway, all 32 teams right now are not expressing any interest publicly. They're all waiting to get the official ruling from Goodell. Methinks that may change once he's officially reinstated.
OK...GM, Here it is straight at ya. NONE! ;)
They will hold true to word, bone head will land elsewhere.

Multiple media outlets are reporting that he's getting a 4 game suspension. I understand it's up to he commish to do what he feels is appropriate. What I'm questioning is the thinking behind 4 games. Like I said, for what Vick did, 4 games is way too light. But obviously he's suffered a ton for his actions separate from any league punishment. So why 4 games? I just don't get it.
FRPLG 07-24-2009, 12:51 AM I'll be honest...I think he's paid his debt. I agree with Mike Wise's take on this.

Excellent article. Sometimes I think people focus on little things and don't look at the big picture. Let the guy play and let's move on with your football fan lives.
T.O.Killa 07-24-2009, 01:17 AM ok every one is going to hate me for saying this, but it would excite the hell out of me if we signed Vick. Cut Todd and make him our back up QB. Zorn is the perfect guy to train this guy.

Very good article. Mike Wise always brings it. I agree verbatim with that column.

I agree with what you say.
I was surprised by the suspension simply because the Commish has been a hard ass of late and previously Vick directly lied to the Commish.
ethat001 07-24-2009, 01:51 AM Honestly I think he got screwed by PETA. Sure, what he did was horrible and he is a inhumane person for doing it. I am not defending a scum like him.
BUT let's face it, we signed AH for $100 million dollars who ran someone over (and almost paralyzed him) and stomped on someone's *face*. We signed Jeremy Bridges who was arrested for assault and battery last year. Plax shot himself (<grin>), Matt Jones did cocaine, and others have done a lot of other crimes (I think there were 58 nfl player arrests in 2008)..
Sure what Vick did was bad, but why is everyone else let go with a slap on the wrist?

How many more games do you think he should miss?
