Man, you love to speculate.
I'd rather go with what we know, Zorn has been pretty adamant in saying he has no plans in putting in the wildcat. If he hasn't studied it properly do you really think he's going to install it on the fly just for Vick, when he really doesn't seem to believe in it and has shown zero interest in it to date?
I thought when Zorn was asked this question about the Wild Cat it was like mid season of last yr and he stated he was not interested. Some coach's tried it after they saw the success Miami had other who had not had time to study it chose not to use it. I wonder if Zorn was not going to step out of his little box and throw something new at a team who was trying to learn a new offense from the start. Now that he's had 6 months to review and see if it can work for the Skins would he use it?
Maybe I missed a more recent statement by him but as we all know this is a copy cat league. Rumor has it Belacheat has studied it over the off season cause he was impressed with what Miami did to him and wants to be able to not only stop it but use it against Miami.
Our running game was our strongest suit so if it still is this yr I would like to see more play action and maybe some flee flickers.

Wildcat = gimmick/fad offensive set
Vick = one-dimensional gimmick/fad QB
Both will not help the Skins at all. I'm hoping and praying Zorn and Cerrato stand by their words concering the Wildcat/Vick.

This is what he said in May

My thoughts on the matter:
1. I have not seen any evidence yet from Vick to make me think he's truly remorseful. Yes, he convinced the Commish to reinstate him, but if you believe that the interest and revenue Vick would bring to the NFL didn't factor heavily into the decision, then you're out of your mind.
2. That said, if Vick is truly a "changed man," it makes a lot of football sense to have him on the team:
A. Wildcat QB.
B. Familiar with the WCO.
C. Better #2 WCO QB than Todd Collins or Colt Brennan.
D. If Campbell sucks it up in 2009, we've got his replacement ready for 2010.
E. If Campbell is amazing in 2009, Vick's presence gives us significant negotiating leverage and flexibility in 2010 (i.e. we pay Jason less or can franchise and trade him to another team for a high value and already have a replacement on the roster.
F. We can sign him and then trade him to another WCO team if their QB goes down in the pre-season. (Teams timid about signing him now would be singing a different tune after observing his good behavior here)
A. Doesn't apply to us or most NFL teams. The Ravens figured out how to shut it down last year so it's only a matter of time before all defenses figure it out. There's a reason why no NFL teams use an option system, it doesn't work against faster NFL defenders.
B. Not familiar with this system. I remember Atlanta being mainly a ground team with him, not a passing team...mainly because Vick made bad decisions and while had a strong arm, he was not an accurate passer. He's a great athlete, not a great or even a good QB. I said this BEFORE he did what he did with the dogs.
C. Collins...maybe you're right...Brennan could be a very solid backup or even replacement if he gains experience.
D. See Brennan notes in C.
E. Again, Vick was a mediocre QB and doesn't fit into our system.
F. Why would we do this? Wasted roster spot in speculation that another team loses their QBs and are one of the teams that would even consider him. Half of the league already declined in wanting him on their team.
So Vick is a huge NO. We do not need him. I do not want him.

If somehow he DOES get on the Skins (won't happen), I'll be fuming if he suits up with #7.

I believe the Orlando franchise drafted him, or claimed the rights to him. Something like that.
Do you know anything about this league as far as when are they going to play? Are they playing on weekends? Or during the week? Seems like playing on Sat. Sun. or Mon. is a bad idea. But Fri. night would be OK.

Thursday would be the best day for them. A lot of MLB teams have off that day. Of course, their season has to conclude before the NFL Thursday games start. Maybe Tuesdays or Wednesdays would be better. :D
