I'm glad as it appears the SKINS have zero interest in this clown.

I could only imagine what this would do to camp (or the circus show that would follow) or JC's last chance to prove himself.

Balls and major stupidity.

At that point he could really kiss his NFL career good-bye.

I have a hard time believing Goodell would suspend anyone over speaking the truth. I get that he's tough, but the NFL isn't mid-1930's Deutschland.

It would have nothing to do with Goodell suspending him. It would have more to do with teams not wanting to bother with a guy who would make such comments.

If you say so. If a team is considering him in the first place, knowing his history, I can't see such a comment playing a role. But, this is all hypothetical anyway.

And instead of taking responsibility right off the bat, He claimed he was innocent. He didn't fess up until he had no other option.

Well if I was growing pot in my house and the cops came knocking and asked if I was grown pot I sure wouldn't say, "Yea, come on in and check them out".

You don't think that would play a role, really?

No, not if a GM/Owner is a rational human being I do not. Seriously, if this guy, which by all accounts is a dirtbag of the first order, took accountability (I killed dogs, i'm sorry) but also stated a fact (there are others in the league guilty of , if not worse, crimes of a similar scale) what is there to punish him for? If they're not going to forgive him, that's fine. I could care less. But if you're going to forgive him, then it's over, that's the end of it. To continue going after him for telling the truth is a little disingenuous, especially considering that everyone was initially so upset over the fact that he lied repeatedly about his involvement. Should he only tell the truth in a manner that people want to hear? I don't think that's for anyone else to say. Had he confronted this head on in such a manner initially, i doubt this would have reached the level it did.

Vick shouldn't say anything about anyone else but himself. Whatever opinion he has of others' situations he should keep to himself. Especially if no one is asking him. This doesn't compare to him lying about his involvement with the dog fighting.

imho, that's an emotional response. If you're looking at it from the PR perspective though, I agree with you. On an intellectual level, I have no issue with him acknowledging his mistakes, and making a straightforward comparison to the misdeeds of others. If he's getting attacked after joining a team, I think he would be within his rights to bring up such a point.

Exactly.

His best approach PR wise now and for a very long time will be to say nothing.
