This is both what I want...and what will likely happen.
Dallas has said no, no, and no
I'm thinking Cincy.

Vick conditionally reinstated by NFL (updated)CRedskinsRule 07-27-2009, 04:23 PM This is both what I want...and what will likely happen. Dallas has said no, no, and no I'm thinking Cincy. CRedskinsRule 07-27-2009, 04:28 PM Sirius just announced, Vick is conditionally reinstated, can practice, and can be eligible to play in regular season games, beginning week 6. No link yet. skinsfan_nn 07-27-2009, 04:35 PM Michael Vick has been conditionally reinstated by NFL - NFL - SI.com (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/football/nfl/07/27/vick.reinstated.ap/index.html?eref=BrkNews) JoeRedskin 07-27-2009, 04:37 PM So he is essentially getting a 5 game suspension? I'm okay with that. CRedskinsRule 07-27-2009, 04:37 PM edited: nevermind... MTK 07-27-2009, 04:38 PM Isn't this how it always goes? "Insert name here" is available and therefore make sense for the Redskins skinsfan_nn 07-27-2009, 04:40 PM and of course Sirius is saying Washington would make sense. Geez why people why? Because it is Washington. And stranger things have happened. And the fact of the matter is we will in my best guess be getting a new QB next year anyway, maybe sooner....they have tried pretty damn hard to dump JC. Do I hope its Vick....NO! GhettoDogAllStars 07-27-2009, 04:43 PM Vick's done. Like skinsfan said, the only way a team will pick him up is after playing in another league for at least a year (and then he'd be 30-31). Too much risk -- money and PR -- for a guy who hasn't played in 2 years. Teams aren't going to want to shell out hundreds of thousands of dollars for a potential PR nightmare on a guy who hasn't played recently, and is approaching 30. Even if they did, what would happen? He'd play next year, when he's 30-31 after learning a new offense? No way. I'll bet he's still got the arm -- 29 isn't that old. However, I'd be worried about his legs. Plus, he was never very accurate. Don't see much benefit for anyone picking him up. I guess the only way I wouldn't be totally surprised is if a team picked him up for ticket sales, as SS suggested. mredskins 07-27-2009, 04:48 PM He belongs with the Raiders and that circus of A$$ clowns. MTK 07-27-2009, 04:49 PM Vick is still too talented and there is never enough QBs to go around, some team will be interested. He'll get another shot with a NFL team this year I believe. |
