The rumor that JC was going to demand to get out if we had drafted Sanchez appears to have been true. On the Warpath I openly discounted that rumor and I am sorry that I was wrong.
May JC turn lemons into lemonade.
I didn't know that was a rumor. I thought JC said it pretty publically.

Like others said Cooley needs to show up when/where it counts this season. To me that means getting open in the redzone and scoring points consistently. I do appreciate his support of JC...i think we're seeing Jason become the leader.

JC did speak publicly about being "shocked" but he did not publicly make a trade demand. For example, try this:
Redskins' play for Mark Sanchez 'a shock' for Jason Campbell - USATODAY.com (http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nfl/redskins/2009-04-27-campbell-reaction_N.htm?csp=34)

Yea, I am in the same boat, I thought it was pure speculation and spin. Regardless, it looks like he handled it in a way that only built his leadership stock.

Some have said Cooley had an off year last year, but I think he just didn't have many great highlights. He's improved in his blocking, though he's not a great blocker, and he had to help a lot in pass pro before releasing on short routes.
He had to play more of a traditional TE role rather than the downfield stuff that Saunders had him running, or the more versatile h-back stuff that Gibbs had him in. I give Cooley a lot of credit for playing w/in the system & improving the less heralded part of his game. I don't recall him dropping much either.

Plus he played on one of the worst offenses in the league. Hard to stat-up on a team that only throws 13 TDs all year.
