@ Browns
vs Ravens
@ Chicago
vs Packers
@ Lions
vs Bengals
Can't say we have any pushovers but at least we have some prep time before more conference games. The Browns haven't been playing very well and KW is out. The Ravens have a tough D but no offense except for Lewis. Chicago just lost their starting QB. The Lions lost their WR and RB. The Bengals have Palmer starting and he's been up and down. Hopefully, we can string some wins together over the next few weeks.
Keep the Faith.

heh, i love how everyone's forgotten how this is Gibbs' THIRD NFL game in TWELVE YEARS!.
i'd be worried if there wasnt any progress each game (ala Spurrier), but there has been. not to long now..
oh thank god, with this post i'm no longer ineffective Chad Morton. Swoop!

Definitely. We were 1-2 in the 2000 season, when we went 8-3 before missing the playoffs.
Remember, there are always a few teams who start slow, but then surprize everyone by coming strong in the middle to end of the season.
KEEP THE FAITH EVERYONE

We should beat all of those teams. The only team I see giving us a tough game is B-more and maybe GB.

I agree that this is a softer looking spell, but we've got to get our own house in order here. One game at a time.
I heard that Gibbs is actually not that good on Monday nights, but he's something like 90% the week after a monday night loss. Don't know if that's acurate, but that's the spirit of it. C'mon Joe!!! Let's get it going!!!!

There are two soft spots in that list of six games.
Cleveland is bad and Chicago is without their QB for the rest of the year. Those are road games and it is nice to have your easier opponents on the road.
Green Bay and Baltimore are going to be tough games. Look for the Over/Under line in the Baltimore game to be about 34.
The Lions can be beaten, but they are no longer the pushovers that they were. I think the Bengals will be uip and down all year long and it depends on what week the Skins catch them.
If the Skins go 6-0 here it will be a miracle and the playoffs are assured. If the go 5-1, that will also put them in the playoffs.
More likely is a 4-2 run setting them up at 5-4 for a stretch run that is NFC East heavy. Big break is that they get SF in the middle of the stretch run which ought to be a welcome respite.
Disaster scenario is going 2-4 over this period and standing at 3-6 with the Division opponents coming up. If that happens, the playoffs are a year away.
