I believe I will check it out Game Plan For Life (http://gameplanforlife.com/blog/) KLHJ2 07-22-2009, 01:47 PM No, but I heard him give a sermon on it online. SmootSmack 07-22-2009, 01:48 PM I've read some excerpts. I'm not quite as religious as Gibbs. But his ability as a leader of people is something I can only hope to half replicate. I may read the book to learn a little bit more about that. MTK 07-22-2009, 01:57 PM I'm definitely not into the religion side of things like he is, but I can appreciate how he relates his values and beliefs to everyday life. Hog1 07-22-2009, 02:45 PM I kinda' think a little like SS. He has been......crazy successful on all fronts. I will be happy to give it a ride for some.......life info firstdown 07-22-2009, 05:02 PM This one is kind of hard for you liberals. LOL OK, I have not been to church in about 10 years unless it was for a wedding and I only went then because I knew the reception was going to ROCK. But I've spent lots and lots of time with people who work or have worked for him and their universal praise of him as a team leader and motivator is almost intimidating. I've honestly never known anyone who commands as much respect as Gibbs does. But part of what he talked about today (and in the past) was how many obstacles he went through and how much he basically had to be humbled before he really started feeling success. It's easy for us to think of Gibbs' life as a glowing success from the start. But his true success didn't really happen the first 40 years of his life. There's not a great many people I admire, but Gibbs is definitely one. Skins fan 44 07-25-2009, 12:35 PM Plan on getting the book today. Looks to be interesting although it looks mainly religious it also appears to be a helpful living book. Smooter 08-25-2009, 08:27 PM Got this today. As soon as I get a little ways through it I'll let you guys know what I think. |
