6 manned landings in total. And I guess if you count Apollo 13 there were 7 attempts to land.

Yeah, I never get why people think it was staged considering we landed on the moon successfully 5 times after Apollo 11.

Ok they made five fake videos. Maybe they faked it to get Americans exicited about space travel thus help increase funding. Who knows but I still find it weird we have not been back in a long time. Have we learned all we have to know about the moon?

I think we learned it wasn't worth the expense of going there. The rush to the moon, was as much an off shoot of the arms race and cold war. We didn't want to let the Soviets set up a base there. Once we got there, we realized no one was setting a base there any time soon, and it became a footnote in space exploration. When and IF colonization becomes possible, then we would be back in a heartbeat.

I'm kind of on the fence with this one. From 1958 to 2008 416 Billion on its program and 17.8 billion for 2008. Seems like alot of money for people to fly around in space.
