I can't believe how long his head was on fire without him noticing. It's like he didn't even know until everyone swarmed him to put it out.

Thats why I have a hard time believing he was that badly injuried with 2nd and 3rd degree burns. Personally I think it has been used as an excuse more then anything else.

I'm guessing he probably had a lot of product in his hair that was burning off initially, and until the flames get down to your scalp you probably wouldn't feel very much. You can see him starting to bug out just before they jump on him. He's definitely feeling it then.

I agree! In my earlier dumber years we use to lite tennis balls soaked in grain alcohol on fire and kick them around. They balls never got actually burned just the grain alcohol burnt off. So in MJ's case I think the product got burned off then his hair started up.

A lot of people say this is when he started checking into the Nutty Farm.

Yeah he runs down those stairs and starts jumping around in a panic. Simple little commercial definitely changed a lot for him.

what the heck would he have to gain by faking it? did you watch the video? did you see the hole in the middle of his scalp? you have a hard time being objective when its someone you don't like

Money, money, money .... money.
Don't think he was faking it though. Whenever you see someone catch fire there's always that period before they recognize it. It doesn't immediately come to your mind when you're on fire. Whenever they show videos people always have that moment before they realize they're on fire.

i don't know how old you are. but at the period of time, the last thing Jackson needed was money. back then, everything he touched turned to gold
