I remember JC saying if Davis studies the play book & puts the work in he would be good. When JC said that it sounded as if Davis was behind in work, based on what you guys are saying seems he's turned it around.
Fred Davis Signs with RosenhausNYCskinfan82 07-12-2009, 08:02 PM I remember JC saying if Davis studies the play book & puts the work in he would be good. When JC said that it sounded as if Davis was behind in work, based on what you guys are saying seems he's turned it around. djnemo65 07-12-2009, 08:26 PM From everything I've heard about Rosenhaus he's more talk and bluster than anything else. When it comes time to negotiate he's good for getting his clients market price and that's about it. And yeah, we should be so lucky as to see the day that Fred's contract is an issue, as that would mean he had actually done something on the field. GMScud 07-12-2009, 09:04 PM I saw an interview with one of the strength and conditioning coaches and he said Davis did one of the most amazing things he's ever seen. The players do sets of pushing the sleds 25 yards. On his LAST set, after just doing his other sets, he told the coach to stand on the sled and he proceeded to push the coach and the sled 25 yards. Most players are worn out by the last set. He actually ADDED weight on his last set. A physical freak is EXACTLY what he is. He's a stud and I think he'll show it on the field this year. Cool story. Unfortunately being a physical specimen doesn't necessarily equate to being a good football player. Hopefully he'll be both. saden1 07-12-2009, 09:09 PM I would totally sign with Rosenhaus too. He's is cutthroat but fair IMO. If Davis turns out to be any good (no reason to suspect otherwise) he'll get what he deserves from the Skins. My man Cooley is still top dog so there's no need to fuss if he opts to go elsewhere in a few years. skins89moss 07-13-2009, 12:10 AM Grew up in the DC Maryland area as a kid, but now reside in the Los Angeles CA area. USC is the big football team here because their is still no NFL team here. Fred Davis is a beast so just give him some playing time and you will see him make plays. We will have 2 monster TE's who can do damage. freddavisbro86 07-13-2009, 11:08 AM My bro is determined to show Skins what hes worth MTK 07-13-2009, 11:13 AM Everyone talks about the need for Thomas or Kelly to step up this year, but if Davis can step in and contribute that would be big for the offense as well. He's athletic enough to split out wide and could give defenses some really interesting matchup problems. dmek25 07-13-2009, 11:14 AM i hope you are right davisbro. its a win in for everyone SouperMeister 07-13-2009, 02:45 PM I hope that Rosenhaus is asking the Skins to extend Davis after next season - that will mean that Davis had a huge impact. I definitely want to see more packages with Cooley and Davis on the field together. Force the opponent's SS and a LB to cover guys they can't keep up with. itvnetop 07-13-2009, 06:58 PM fdb86- tell your brother that some of us have followed him since SC! The rookie year slip-up was fred's m.o.- whenever he enters the next level of competition, he always has one wake up call (no pun intended). His frosh year at SC, he missed the bus to LAX before the national championship game against OU (and Carroll didn't let him join the team in Miami). After that, he dedicated himself to becoming the best TE in the country. I have a feeling he's going to replicate the pattern here... the dude is a beast and I can't believe he slipped to us in the draft. |
