There's also only one Peyton Manning, but being top flight at your craft does not mean you have to match Tiger (or Tom Brady/Joe Montana/Terry Bradshaw) in Championships.
Who said anything about championships? Tiger is far & away the best at what he does. Manning is great but Brady is just as good.

Manning is clearly the best quarterback on the planet, but that doesn't mean Brady and Brees aren't also elite.
It's a good comparison. The point is, you don't have to be the greatest ever to be at the top of your field.

D.C. Sports Bog - Redskins, Tiger Woods and Jessica Simpson (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/dcsportsbog/2009/07/redskins_tiger_woods_and_jessi.html)
Check it out. Some skins there too, including Rock, JC, ARE, and Suisham. Looks like even though Romo had some bandwagon fans there, the skins fans gave him some hell.
I would think they could pick someone better than Romo to team w/ Tiger in DC. Maybe it's drawn though, who knows. At least we get to look at Jessica S.
Romo is a hell of a golfer that is why he's playing with Tiger. He isn't going to T it up with a few hacks from the Redskins.

JC and ARE are not even at hack status. What they should have done was recognized they arent ready to play in an even like that and say thanks but no thanks.
It's a charity event, no?
Who cares if they can't play.

The entire tourney (like other PGA Tour events) is a charity event not just the pro am. I suspect their playing partners were in agony for 5 hrs having to watch them chop away so I would say their playing partners cared. The fans didnt mind it was hillarious watching them try to play golf.
I dunno, it's charity, the fans enjoy it, I don't see the fuss.

No fuss, I just thought out of courtesy to the other players they would take a pass until they were better able to play. IMO and others I talked to, they looked like a couple of horse's asses wacking their way around the course. If looking like a couple of horse's asses bothered them they didnt seem to show it.

If it was for charity and for fun, who cares how they played? They probably drew some spectators and attention to the event which is probably why they were asked. NBD.

I can tell you exactly how many spectators were drawn there to see JC, ARE & Romo - 0. Everyone was there to see Tiger and root for him or against him
