I'm sorry about the title..but it is true. In both of the Skins Home games, the officiating has been horrible. In the first game, it wasn't so bad because it didn't change the outcome of the game. However, in this one, it was quite a different story. First of all, the defensive pass interference call that actually should have been a NO Call or Offensive pass interference which resulted in a first and goal on the 1 yard line for the Dallas. And of course the NO Call Defensive interference that should have been called which would of at least giving the Skins a chance for at least 3 points from 1st and Goal on the one. That is a 14 point swing of BOGUS Calls and NO Calls by the officials. I don't see how the NFL can pay these guys the kind of money they do to call games. I think they should be fined for BAD CALLS. They are allowing officials to decide games by the calls and I think they should let the players decide the games instead.

I'm sorry, but that was the worst game of officiating I have seen in a long time. To blow 2 calls that were so obvious to everyone but the officials. I just can't believe it.

Sorry for the rant, but no one else will listen.

Other than that, I take my hat off to the Skins who played their hearts out. And once again the Defense came through when they needed too. Just not quite good enough on the offensive side, but they were much improved from the 1st half to the 2nd.

Even though they lost a tough one that they shouldn't have..they have definitely improved. Good job on the coaching staff on making a 100% turn-a-round from last weeks 7 turnover game to none. They just need to work on protecting Brunell a little better. 5 sacks (I think it was) was not a very good showing. But all in all, a very good game.

GO SKINS

I'm still shaking my head over how a player can get shoved to the ground and be called for PI

I agree 100%. But what can we do? I wish there was a way we could really be heard. The NFL definitely needs to step up and do something when calls are blown. They need to get some younger officials out there that can actually keep up with players. One of the officials fell down yesterday in the Green Bay game possibly blowing a PI call..even though it would have been close, but both of the officials could have talked about it instead of only one being the determining factor. Isn't it kindof ironic that most of the officials are retired from some other type of job like lawyers and doctors and such..or at least they used to be. Not sure anymore..it's been a while since I checked into that.

I think they should be fined for BAD CALLS.

they do, and they limit bad crews chances at higher paying, bigger events (like monday night and playoff games)...

I don't know why they don't use replay on interference calls.

THEY ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT PLAYS IN THE GAME!

You can challenge other subjective calls, I don't understand why pass interference should be any different.

25-14 skins if those PI calls were right. im not much for saying "refs blow games" but those two were a huge difference in the game. the harris call was total bs and that was either 3rd and forver or 4th down and just out of FG range if im not mistaken. then the non call on gardner was a definate touchdown with a 1st and goal or just a simple over the shoulder catch. 25-14 !!!

Does anyone really know the logic behind calls you can challenge and those you can't?

Please explain, I'd really love to know.

you cant ever challenge a "judgement call" or after the whistle. but you can challenge spots of balls and whether or not a guy was down etc. but you cant challenge a flagged play. they are judgment calls

The reason why instant replay isn't used for penalties has something to do with the human error being apart of the game except when it comes to spotting the actual position of the ball, which also means whether catches are made or whether the ball crosses the goal line. I can see where it would be a good idea to review PI calls but then they would want to review all penalties. I guess that is why it really isn't allowed.

As far as officials being fined. I had heard that it may happen, but didn't know if it actually did. But if that is the case then shouldn't Monday Nite FB have one of the best officiating crews? If that is the case..they sure didn't look like it.
