I love Rick Perry's response in the debate last night on the issue of health care and why the state of Texas has the highest rate of uninsured Americans in the entire freakin country at 27.2%. That's an awful number by the way.
This moron actually blamed the Federal government for that sickening statistic.
Medicare covers 2.3 million Texans.
Medicaid covers 3.3 million Texans.
If you take away federal programs Texas would have a 40% uninsured population!
What the heck does the Republican party plan to do? For anyone?
It's a joke.
He's a funny guy for sure.
When asked about immigration he proposed beefing up border security with more boots on the ground (border patrol agents and the National Guard) and policing the border with Drone predators, essentially creating either a much larger agency or a new one. But no federal spending, God no. I'm sure the free market and unleashing our entrepreneurial spirit will solve our immigration problem. Can't have gubment blocking bidness.
He has good hair though.

He's an asshat for sure.
The entire healthcare ruling will now come down to Justice Anthony Kennedy. Even then, I doubt the entire law will be struck down. Basically, even if they strip out the individ. mandate, that's what Obama campaigned on all along.
You do realize that without the individ mandate his plan sty rockets the national dept? His plan will not work without the mandate because it funds the program. He needs the healthy uninsured to pay for the sick uninsured.

He has good hair though.Enforcement of existing laws by federal agencies would be a good start. The money saved by reducing illegal immigration far outweighs the cost of implementing any additional security measures.

Not going to happen while they persist on beating the global war drum, and pandering to big businesses.

All I can say is if people wanted "free health care" then they should have moved to Canada. Why people and the Gov. thinks this is such a good option is beyond me, especially with so many Canadians taking vacations to America simply to get their health care needs met. Oh Canadians will tell you its not a bad system for small stuff like the common cold but god forbid you need surgery, your better off having Keiser.

you guys do know that people on welfare (under 21k or something like that) and old people already have free health care.
this would only cover the people who make more than the welfare income limits but not enough money to allocate $300 a month to health insurance . . . .this basically just covers hard working people who dont make alot of money.
