If you vouch for them I'll donate and even get my company to match the donation. I called George Fischer to get the Club's EIN (Employer Identification Number) but he didn't pick-up. If you know what it is let me know cause I need that to get a match from my company.
I will get that tonight at our meeting. George is out of town but our secrtary will have that.

Does the organization not have a bank account?
Why not use Paypal or something? Shame to not take money because nobody put in a few minutes to make it possible.
Most of our donations are from companies and they write checks but no one thought about smaller donations from individuals. We talked about opening up paypal account for ticket sales but for some reason we decided not to do that. This is only our third year for this event so I'll add that to my list of things for next year. We do a golf outing also which pretty much runs itself and this event is still in its building stages so we are still learning.

Yes, we will have plenty of cold beer I think either $2.50 or $3.00 a cup. We also have a Corn Hole competition which for some reason the sign up sheet is not provided on the site but I can get you that info. Tickets are $5.00 per family or per person. That gets you in and a chance to go around and sample all the chilli and vote for them. We also have a live band, childrens tent with stuff for them to do, and a lrge slide for the kids. For other food which is my gig we have hot dogs or brats, chips and a drink for $4.00. We will have chilli for sale at our tent until it runs out.
Sounds good , I hope to be able to make it . I will be glad to help as far as a donation either way .

Best wishes, if you guys need any web work done I'll help free of charge.
Open up that paypal account, it doesn't cost anything and there doesn't always need to be an event to accept money you know?

This is the only web site we have. Our golf event is over 20 yrs old and it fills up pretty quick so no advertising is needed. That event alone raises around 16,000 to 18,000. Its probably a good idea for the club to have its own web page and we could just have out event stuff there and have a place where people could donate through paypal. It would make alot of sense to have one centeral site for everything. The best pert about that is I know no one would ask me to run that or have anything do do with a web page. My computers skills are about as good as my spelling.

If we can get enough people there buying beer we should get plenty of donations at $2.50 a pop.

TTE has been eerily quiet lately. I want some more, "We don't need no stinkin government" posts!
I really could give a shitless about this reform and the people sending death threats to their representatives (both democrat and republican) they all really need to be put in a burlap bag, beaten and sent out to sea. Yeah, that's harsh but still, even if you think the reform is the end of freedom as we know it, do you really think its worth calling up your representative and telling them how you wish someone would blow up their office? Really?
But all I care about is that at 23 and currently uninsured, I get to hop back on my mom's insurance for another 3 years. :woot:
