There are a lot of things positive about Hall this year. First, he's going to be the number TWO cornerback, right? Doesn't that mean he goes against the number two, or second-best WR's? And then the killer D-line with DH/AC/Rak creating bad QB choices.
I can't wait to finally get TURNOVERS.
Here's an old article from last year:
Most interceptions since 2005 (as of 11/08):
Champ Bailey 22
Asante Samuel 22
DeAngelo Hall 18
Darren Sharper 17
Charles Woodson 17

And that's not including the two he picked off for us last year..

From what I saw on Redskins Nation earlier this week (yes I occasionally take time to sit through a Larry Michael hosted program), Hall will likely be covering the opponents number 1 this season. But that's fine. Aside from his short stint in Oakland behind Asomugha, he's been the #1 corner his entire career.
I like those stats you posted there. Good stuff. I didn't know Hall was that far up the list in INTs. Man, if our D can stay healthy we could be flat out nasty.

Oops. Sorry, I figured Carlos would finally get the nod. Still can't wait to see him in action..

Yeah, one of the issues in games IMO sometimes for the redskins D was that opposing offenses weren't scared to attempt to throw deep because there wasn't a corner that could a make a play at intercepting the ball.
Having Hall covering a wr would make any qb think twice throwing it into tight coverage and take away some of the qb's comfort level on any play.

Boy, Blache loves him some D-Hall.
I think Rogers' INTs are going to go up considerably this year, and I'm trying to figure out what that will do to Hall's total. It could be a factor of this defense that Hall might just not be the prolific interceptor he was in his previous stops.
I think he'll get 3 INTs this season, which gets him to the pro bowl...if he returns all three for touchdowns.

I would love to see Rogers hold on to some picks. Last season he came a long way from where he was and since his rookie season I have been a hardcore Rogers hater. I hope he proves me wrong this season. As far as Hall goes, I think he will have a pro bowl season.

I like Carlos Rogers. Yes, it is very frustrating seeing him drop interceptions but the guy is usually in position to make plays and that's what you want from a defensive back. The interceptions will come. With more pressure on the quarterback, more opportunities will come his way.
Yea more INTs for him to drop.
He's really come a long way in his coverage but I'm afraid his hands will just never be there. He needs to find a way to grab some this year or I don't think Danny will be showing him the money.

I sure hope Hall has grown up. It seems like he's got something to prove and if he plays to his potential then we might have stolen a top NFL corner. One thing that I like is we've got some strong defensive coaches to handle him if he gets out of line. I think he's going to respond very well to Blache and Grey.

Carlos's last year? I hadn't thought of that.
